Are these flexible for enough for a retail shelf filler? kneeling on floor filling bottom shelves is destroying my knees.

Pretty much ideal - especially for the price. Very lightweight and very flexible - yet sufficiently sturdy enough to kneel on floors without damaging the knee. I was sliding/gliding across a wooden floor on Monday evening and regular use them for Karate training (and I'm 65)

What does size s-m mean in age?

The ad says to measure the circumference of your thigh 4" above the knee! What's age got to do withit?

How easy is it to stand up with them on after you've been kneeling on them?

Very easy. I do a lot of Iaido and getting up fast is required!
