Exceptional Foam Brush for Varnish and Lacquer Work - With a Handy Tip
I recently used this foam brush for my varnish and lacquer work while renovating our bedroom, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. Whether it was for a glossy or matt finish, this foam brush proved to be the best choice. The application process was smooth and easy, allowing for a consistent spread of the varnish and lacquer. The final results were beautiful every time. The surface finish was even and had a professional look, which greatly enhanced the overall appearance of our renovated bedroom. One trick I discovered for using these brushes is to always apply a thinner layer and disperse it properly with patience. Then, give adequate drying time between layers. This approach ensures a smooth and even finish, and it significantly improves the final result. In conclusion, this foam brush is a high-quality tool that delivers excellent results for both varnish and lacquer applications. It’s easy to use, effective, and consistently produces a beautiful finish. I highly recommend it to anyone undertaking similar renovation projects. Remember, patience and proper layering are key to achieving the best results!

Good brushes but wear out quickly
Bought three sets now and love. them . They don’t last well though and need replacing quicker than I thought though. Does the job bought for and not expensive so I don’t mind replacing them for new projects

Sponge paint brushes.
First time I used the sponge brushes and they are a great idea! They soak in the varnish (or paint) so it doesn't drip, and it gives a good even, smooth coverage. You only need the smallest amount of varnish and build up gradually. Great price, good thickness, different sizes and so easy to use. Definitely recommend.

High-Quality Poly Foam Brushes for a Smooth and Professional Finish
I recently used Rustins Poly Foam Brushes for a painting project, and here’s a comprehensive review based on my experience: Pros: Smooth Finish: These poly foam brushes are designed to provide a smooth and even application of paint. They excel in delivering a professional finish with minimal brush marks, making them ideal for achieving a flawless look on various surfaces. High-Quality Foam: The brushes feature high-grade foam that resists shedding and maintains its shape during use. This ensures consistent performance and prevents the need for frequent touch-ups or additional coats. Versatility: Rustins Poly Foam Brushes are suitable for a variety of painting tasks, including applying varnishes, stains, and emulsions. Their versatility makes them a valuable addition to any painter’s toolkit. Ease of Cleaning: The foam material is relatively easy to clean after use. With proper care, these brushes can be rinsed and reused for multiple projects, offering good value for money. Affordable: Compared to other professional-grade brushes, Rustins poly foam brushes are reasonably priced. This makes them an accessible option for both amateur and professional painters. Cons: Durability Concerns: While the foam is of high quality, some users have reported that the brushes can wear out or become less effective after repeated use. This can be a concern if you need a long-lasting tool for extensive projects. Handle Comfort: The handle of the brushes is functional but not particularly ergonomic. For prolonged use, some users might find the handle less comfortable compared to brushes with more advanced ergonomic designs. Limited Size Options: Depending on your project needs, the range of sizes available might be limited. This could be a drawback if you require a very specific brush size for detailed work or larger areas. Foam Absorption: The foam can absorb a significant amount of paint, which may result in a bit of waste. Proper technique is required to minimize excess paint and ensure efficient use. Conclusion: Rustins Poly Foam Brushes are a solid choice for those looking for high-quality paint applicators that deliver smooth and professional finishes. Their effective foam material, versatility, and affordability make them suitable for various painting tasks. While there are minor drawbacks such as durability concerns and limited size options, the overall performance and value of these brushes make them a worthwhile investment for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals. If you need reliable brushes for achieving a clean, smooth paint job, Rustins Poly Foam Brushes are definitely worth considering.

Good quality
Nice little foam brushes. I used them to apply wood stain. Very satisfying to use and seemed to go on evenly. First time applying wood stain so not able to compare to other brushes but seemed to do the job well and didn’t break apart and were nice and firm.

Excellent tool - for the right job.
Ok, let's be clear here, these are disposable and not really designed for repeated use. This is reflected in the price. However, they are excellent for painting and applying varnish. Some will doubtless say you need a good brush to achieve a quality finish. These demonstrate that is not the case at all. I came across these after using foam paint pads, which were a revelation compared to rollers. They don't leave lines, bristles or other annoyances that affect the final finish of whatever you are doing. Yes, you can buy packs from other manufacturers that come with more "brushes" but having tried those I can confirm they were awful! These have stayed intact while I have painted wood with gloss, applied varnish (not onto the same wood!) and now worked a wax oil (Osmo PolyX - awesome stuff) into untreated worktops. The key thing to remember is that foam absorbs, so it takes a few goes in the tin for them to get to their best application wise. Personally I think they are outstanding, but I have realistic expectations and I am really not a professional decorator. Give them a try, you may be pleasantly surprised.

Better than a cheap set so worth it
Finish is nice and good sizes but I would still use a brush when possible for more even coverage tbh. They seem to last a couple of uses before they are useless. Good for a final coat when cutting in for sure

Great Product
Lightweight and good quality product. Used it this morning to oil my oak doors and the benefit I found of using these compared to the brush was even coverage and not having to worry about brush marks. Cleaning was easy and left them to dry, will reuse them again for another coats and then in the long term also can be used by the kids to paint.

I needed to paint some shelves and finish with varnish. Both the paint and varnish went on really smoothly and left a great finish. Easy to clean too. And there's a really great range of sizes to match what you need

snel geleverd. Prima te gebuiken om de schilderijen met dunne vernis af te lakken. Niet geschikt voor dikkere verf of vernis. Ook weer netjes op tijd geleverd.
