Just buy it! Do it now!
What a terrific camera. I don't know how I managed without WiFi before. I assumed the WiFi was to copy photos to the cloud (which it does) but you can also copy single or multiple photos to any PC on the network. I use this to back up the photos I want to keep. So much easier than removing the SD Card from the camera and pushing it into the PC. The best thing though, is that the camera can be a hotspot. Set it into Hotspot mode and log your mobile phone onto it rather than your home network. Don't worry, the phone will revert to the previous network when you close the camera. You need to install a Panasonic App, "Image App", available for Android and iPhone. Once the phone is connected to the camera's SSID, run the app on your phone and be prepared to be blown away! The phone becomes a remote control for the camera, no need for the camera's timer any more. You get the camera's view on your phone, you can change most settings from your phone e.g. zoom, flash mode etc. Other than remote control, the app allows you to copy files from the camera to the phone thus you can be out and about and with very little effort take some photos and email them to your friends. Obviously you must email set up on your phone! The app provides basic image editing including creating a collage from selected photos. I like this facility. The camera does 4K in both stills and video but I haven't tried that yet. What I have tried it taking panorama shots. Set it tp panorama mode and press the shutter as you swivel round. I horizontal line on the screen tells you whether you are going straight. It won't let you go crooked, it says Do it again or some such. The resultant picture is truly amazing. I've produced panorama shots before but it always involved loading several images into e.g. Photoshop Elements and producing the panoramic image from there. This little gem does it all for you. Final Note: I don't usually do reviews on Amazon, but this camera is such fun (as Miranda's mum would say) that I just HAD to put pen to paper as it were. Thanks for listening. Great camera if a little complicated.
I bought this camera to replace an earlier version. It is great for the price. Low light performance is excellent and picture quality is very good. It is ideal for taking to family events and as a back-up for my DSLR. My only criticism is that I find it a little over complicated. Whilst it is packed with features, like my car, I am doubtful whether I will ever use a lot of them. Also, the AI program flash is very bright so that close ups are washed out.

One Of The Best Travel Cameras!!!
Still one of the best "travel" cameras around in this price range. 4K video recording and the excellent 30x optical zoom can't be faulted. Outdoor shots very high quality. Only major flaw in this camera is the lack of a hotshoe to allow the use of a flashgun as the built in flash is far too small and narrow to iluminate anything further than a couple of feet away and even then it is very directional with a very narrow field of illumination. Overall though this camera can put most of the big boys to shame and has a wide range of features that will satisfy the advanced photographers as well.

Great zoom range in a compact camera
I'd had a Sony HX60 for 5½ years and loved its 24-720mm zoom range. Finally the wheel on the rear stopped registering presses on one side, making it difficult to get at some settings; I had to keep rotating it to avoid the dead area. So I gave it to a grandson to use in Auto mode and replaced it. I thought about a new Sony HX but after reading the reviews had no hesitation in going for the TZ80 instead. The TZ200 is a superb camera; a friend has one I've tried, but the zoom range is limited by the 1 inch sensor and it's no match for my lovely Olympus M10 II with a much bigger sensor and 24-400mm lens. The TZ80 is much more like a direct replacement for the HX60 - much easier to slip in a small bag or jacket pocket and I have it with me often, just in case. Phones are so relentlessly wide angle I find them useless for far too many shots. The TZ80 is reasonably priced and I think the 'silver' version looks rather smart. It also has some super extras the Sony lacked. The viewfinder is small but very usable and placed so your nose doesn't keep resetting the touch focus point (if you use your right eye). At first I thought it blurry but it's good since I found the diopter adjustment wheel. The camera generally feels easy to use, with an excellent touch screen. I always default to Aperture mode and it's easy then to adjust aperture control (rear ring) and exposure compensation. ISO was hard to adjust until I reset the big lens ring to control it. Normally I set ISO to Auto but if indoors with moving subjects, eg young children, I'll set it quite high manually and the results have been good so far. In good light the results are superb. In low light they are as good as you can expect from a camera with a relatively small sensor. A real star feature for me is the 4K (8 megapixel) still photo burst mode. It's easy to trigger (Fn1) and will take 30 still images a second for up to 15 minutes then let you scroll through and choose good ones. Using my HX60 at the football, I took so many shots with no sign of the ball. The TZ80 seems to have much less shutter lag, the EVF really helps and the burst mode will be brilliant for exciting passages of play, eg penalties, particularly now that our team, Brentford has got to the Premiership after 70+ years in lower divisions. And the 24-720mm zoom will cover everything. So anyone wanting a super zoom range in a small camera should put the TZ80 at the top of their 'check it out' list.

Does what i need. Great camera.
After spending a while comparing different cameras, i decided on this one. I am very much an amateur and have only ever taken pictures on my phone. But i wanted to get far better pictures, so i treated myself. Well i was so pleased when it came, i sat down, got it out of the box, and quickly became frustrated at how many different things and menus that were on the screen. As i say I'm a camera amateur. But a couple of hours later, it was actually very easy finding my way around the touch screen. For the moment i have what i need to take a good picture and it which ever style i choose. There is still a few good things i still have to learn about, but overall i have only had it a few days, so many more learning hours to come. I'm 48 and found it easy all round. I love the sleekness of this camera and the grippy bit at front and back, doesn't feel like it can slip out of your hand easily. At the moment i don't think there is anything i don't like. I also found the wifi very easily to use and to transfer from camera to phone, which was something i was concerned about from some reviews.

Excellent camera
This is an excellent camera. It is my fourth Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TZ. I bought this one after dropping my previous camera (a TZ70) from a height. This one has the same great lens and zoom, but it has a touch screen - something I have got used to very quickly - and it feels more responsive. I find I am finally getting back to the precision of timing that we all used to enjoy with 35mm film cameras a generation ago. I still need to try out the "4K" function that allows you to choose the exact shot after taking it. My only grumble is the cover over the HDMI and charging ports. My previous cameras had a lovely spring loaded cover that opened and closed with a satisfying "snap". This new camera has a wobbly plastic cover that just feels a bit tacky. I'm not sure how much money it saves - if any - but it takes the gloss off what would otherwise be a six-star review.

An excellent little camera.
This really is a superb little camera. In my opinion, everything about it is great. It takes an excellent photo and I would recommend this camera to anyone. Perhaps you have a preferred camera already and you might buy this as a second camera, that is what I did. It will not be long though before this camera becomes your preferred camera. It is small, reasonably lightweight and easily fits in a pocket. A brilliant camera and I love it.

Meh..
What can I say about the camera.... Positives: It's sexy. It feels decent in the hand, pretty sturdy. It's a decent price, it takes photos quickly with no need of any photography background.... But, and it's a big BUT. It just feels pretty crap compared to the photos I can take on my iPhone. Yes my iPhone can't zoom as well or as far as this camera. But the photos when viewed on the computer just seem blurry and of a poor quality from the Panasonic. Compared to photos from my iPhone that are sharp and high quality. The reason why I am mentioning my iPhone is because I didn't pay for it, it's included in my phone contract which I need, camera or no camera. I didn't go out and pay for a camera but because my iphone has one, I have one... And a pretty darn good one. Now this camera I went out and bought, I paid £150 and after one day of use I got a refund. It just didn't feel right to me, the quality of photos seemed poor. The more I thought about the fact that this is a camera being bought for being a camera and it cant take good photos, the more it angered me as if a phone can take good photos why cant this. All in all I would not recommend this camera.
