Shubb C1 Guitar Capo - Nickel, standard

These are the only capos to own , robust & they work

I bought the C-1 Shubb capo for my Clapton signature Acoustic- the Martin 000-28ec. This guitar has a 1 3/4 inch neck with a modified-V. In other words, a chunky neck: My Dunlop Trigger Fly capo was too tight and even a standard Trigger put too much of a squeeze on the strings.Thankfully, the C-1 is spot on. It works by fitting it loose then dialling in the required tension by twisting the screw. Once done, you can easily clip / unclip without any adjustments unless you’re moving more than a fret up the neck. Even then it only takes seconds to adjust. I was able to fit the C-1 from 1st fret to 7th without any buzzing or other problems whilst playing fingerstyle / steady strumming. Beyond that, the capo was not wide enough to guarantee clarity.Advantages: Fits both standard and wider 6 string necks; ability to fine tune tension thereby avoiding unnecessary pressure on neck or tuning issues; small and unobtrusive.Disadvantages: Not as quick to fit as a trigger; clipping the C-1 behind the nut / on the headstock when not in use may require its own adjustment (it does on the 000-28ec).Bottom line: small and perfectly formed, the C-1 is the best capo I’ve used on my acoustic guitar, and at a reasonable price too.

I have one for my Classical Guitar but wanted one for my acoustic guitar. I wasn't happy using the spring type as did not centre on the back of the neck and tension was too strong. The Shubb C1 is adjustable with a screw and once tension is adjusted it stays as set. The capo easily fits on, with a flip of the lever, and is quite small compared to other designs. You can also get replacement rubbers if they become worn or damaged. Well made and a quality product.

These are still the best, well made, dependable and built to last, small enough to do the job without being too clunky and getting in the the way compared to some other capos that I have used over the years. Best buy!

This seems to work well on some of my lighter / slimmer necked guitars, however on my telecaster, which has a thicker neck, this grips way too tight even on its loosest setting and as a result pulls the tuning / intonation way out (and I mean waaay out). Also this is only just wide enough to clamp all 6 strings on the tele so has to be applied with care. So be advised that the neck profile of your guitar will make a big difference to how well this works for you. I'd say if you have a telecaster you should get a different model.

Got this capo as my current one wouldn’t press all the strings down on my 12 string guitar, but this one does, more or less. This capo is quite clearly much better quality than my previous capo. This capo allows you to tighten it if you need to, something that my old capo couldn’t do. I like the rubber feel of this capo that goes over your guitar neck, it is soft and stable. Even if you don’t have a 12 string guitar I would recommend this capo as it is superior in every way to those cheaper standard capos.

Watching the totally inspiring Tommy Emmanuel I was impressed by his use of a capo for different soundscapes and how good open string chords sounded ringing out with the capo in a higher neck position. I haven't been a big capo user and for many years have just kept a Dunlop toggle action capo handy, which more often than not put the guitar out of tune. Received this great looking, nicely engineered, C1 Shubb capo and straight out of the packaging it fitted my guitar with no adjustment required and no strings out of tune.I took some time investigating capos but I think I've made a good choice. Conveniently, it clips nicely on the guitar headstock when not in use - though some purists might frown on this idea! Don't tell anyone but Tommy anchors his picking hand on the guitar with his pinky just like Martin Taylor - so that must be wrong too!??

El producto es excelente... Muy buen acabado, buenos materiales... Solo ten en cuenta si es para guitarra eléctrica y de brazo Pequeño (modelo C1), éste es el capo adecuado, si es para guitarra Clásica debe ser el modelo C2...

Best capo I’ve tried so far. We will see how it holds up, seems to be built well. Easy to clip on the guitar. Nice sound, hits all strings evenly with no buzzing on first attempt. Gonna buy a few more of these. Nice to have a spare as I don’t live near any guitar shops. Would make an excellent gift for any guitar player! My acoustic is a Martin GPCXAE with wider neck. Fits perfect. 10/10 easy.

Ich habe diesen Kapodaster für meine Westerngitarre gekauft.Schon wenn man die Packung dieses Kapodaster in den Händen hält, weiß man, dass es sich bei diesem Produkt um ein hochwertiges handeln muss, denn mit 91 Gramm ist er ganz und garnicht irgend ein Klappergefriemel. Alle Elemente sind sauber verarbeitet und alle beweglichen/verstellbaren Teile funktionieren einwandfrei. Hier wird sofort klar: Das Ding wird "ewig" halten.Die Bedienung und Anbringung ist quasi selbsterklärend und funktioniert einwandfrei. Durch die Schraube kann man den Anpressdruck bzw. den Abstand zwischen den beiden Druckelementen sehr genau einstellen. Da verstellt sich nichts, da wackelt nichts.Alle Seiten werden perfekt an das Griffbrett gedrückt. Klangtechnisch gibt es da absolut nichts zu beanstanden.Das Design sieht man oben und genau so sieht er auch aus. Wirklich edel und stabil.Fazit:Für 16,90 Euro erhält man hier einen sehr edlen, stabilen und einwandfrei funktionierenden Kapodaster, der voraussichtlich- bei sachgerechter Behandlung- Jahrzehnte halten wird. Ich bin schwer beeindruckt gewesen! 5 Sterne gibt es auch von mir und eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

Ottimo prodotto. Estremamente solido, possibilità di regolarlo precisamente tramite apposita vite e, una volta fatto, l'operazione di aggancio e sgancio diventa molto veloce.Tiene molto bene la pressione su tutte le corde e non restituisce alcun "fruscio" metallico (dovuto appunto ad una eventuale pressione disomogenea).Molto soddisfatto, lo consiglio. Costa di più di quelli a pinza/molla economici ma vale decisamente la spesa.
