GIGI Strip Free Microwave - GG0322

It was my first time waxing at home and must say that apart from it being messy, it went rather well. The wax takes off hair very well. Yes you do have to get your timing right so it doesn't start cracking and yes, it's best to use baby powder or oil prior to waxing. It helps a lot! Down side is that wax goes cold quite quickly so trips to the microwave in the middle of waxing weren't great but I got a work around for it now - a cup warmer plate that heats up to 80 degrees. Would recommend the actual Gigi Brazilian microwable wax kit if it's your first time, as it comes with all the pre and post care. Overall very happy and bought this again.

It is good but IT IS BEST WITH COTTON STRIPS. without them you will have bad rewiev saying it is falling off with bits and doesnt remove most of the hair. Also remember to pull the strip oposite direction of hair growth. Also best to microwave for about 25s only if use for eyebrow or upper lip hair removal.

Terrible product, the wax doesn't harden enough to rip off it stays tacky . So I ended up peeling little bits off each time.

I used to buy this product in the past and was very happy with it, however the last batch I bought is not nearly as effective, not sure if the formula or supplier was changed.

This was hands down the WORST at-home wax I’ve ever used—and I’m an experienced waxer. It was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. The wax crumbled into pieces and chunks, refusing to come off cleanly. It didn’t grip the hair at all, but somehow managed to rip my skin instead. No matter how carefully I applied it, it just stuck to me like glue and wouldn’t come off, even with wax oil. I ended up raw, patchy, and still covered in wax that I had to painfully scrape off. This product is not only ineffective but borderline dangerous. Save yourself the trauma and buy something else.

A coworker complimented me on my eyebrows and asked where I get them done. I told her my secret... I do it myself with the GiGi Honee Wax. Once a week, at my own convenience, I heat up this little tub of wax and pull out the sticks to apply. It's fast, easy, not very messy. The more I let the hair grow in, the better. But obviously, sometimes you just can't get away with that. It's not going to grab the short hairs, just like any other wax. You may have to go in an pluck in between or to clean it up a bit. That's what they do at salons, also, except you don't have to worry about salon prices or tipping if you're doing it yourself. Beware, you CAN burn yourself. Don't get the wax too hot. Keep it at a honey consistency, if you overheat it, it'll be thinner. Let it cool down before you apply. Beware, you may break out. Don't use it right after a hot shower where your pores are all opened up. Or a good workout, for that matter. Wait it out. Beware, you CAN screw up and get the wax in hair you didn't want to pull out. Be very careful when doing your eyebrows!!. You CAN make a total mess of things. I've been using GiGi for several years and can't imagine doing anything else. A tub of this stuff lasts for years, by the way, if all you do is your eyebrows like me.

I am not a hard wax fan at all! I needed something quick and easy not too expensive but a reliable name. I’ve used Gigi wax for years but never this one. I thought it looked interesting with the little handle on it. I’m really pleased with it. Super easy to heat up. Smells great. Didn’t irritate my skin and I have very sensitive skin. Great price and great product. It’s compact too so you don’t need a warmer and wax and strips etc.

Excellent wax! Removes hair well, even coarse hairs. Super easy to apply, no messy strips. All-over no mess, easy to remove. Just loving it!

This wax goes on smoothly and evenly on the skin without getting gummy. I will be buying again, for sure. Just loved how my skin felt after waxing. It has been a week since I waxed and the skin has stayed moisturized, did not peel. I realized after the fact, thought, that the product does not come with an applicator. I made it work without it -- just used the back of a wooden clothespin -- but I wish the applicator and post wax cleaner were options to add to cart. These two items are fairly inexpensive and necessary for ease of use of this product and to get good results. They are found in the product store under waxing accessories.
