Double bill of supernatural horrors directed by James Wan, starring Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as real-life demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. In 'The Conjuring' (2013), when the Perron family experience strange goings-on at their farmhouse, they enlist the help of paranormal experts Ed and Lorraine. As they investigate, however, the couple begin to realise that, despite their expertise, they may not be equipped to deal with such a violent and foreboding evil... In 'The Conjuring 2' (2016) Ed and Lorraine are called in to investigate a series of unsettling events at a home in Enfield, London. The pair come to the aid of single mother Peggy Hodgson (Frances O'Connor), after she claims her two daughters are being tormented by an evil spirit. Not long after moving in to the house, the Warrens begin to experience some terrifying phenomena of their own, with the demonic entity seemingly intent on forcing them out. Plagued by hideous visions, physical attacks and even possession, the couple become embroiled in a deadly fight to survive as they attempt to conclude their investigation. Review: Good quality - Love the dvd and very good quality Review: Excellent. Money well spent.Best horror I have seen since The Exorcist. - The best horror/supernatural movies I have seen in years. I actually thought that the second was better than the first which is unsual as the originals are normally the best. Although the storylines are set in different countries, US and Uk, there is a connection with the psychic investigators and conjurying 2 is based on actual events from the enfield case in1977 which I have read several accounts. If you enjoy jumping out of your chair, see it on your own and enjoy. Well worth it.

THE CONJURING 2 FILM COLLECTION DVD
My copy has Conjuring 2 top of the cover with Conjuring underneath. Both transfers are very good with good subtitles. It is a very very long time since I was so impressed (and scared) while watching a "horror/ghost" film, but both these score highly on the fright front, with "2" being, for me, the most scary and better film (just) All praise to director James Wan who knows how to show frightening scenes. Subtle then "Bam" - I truly felt the hair on the back of my neck bristle and shivers down my spine twice (no exageration honestly!!) I must praise the entire cast of both films but particularly the two girls in "2" - Madison Wolfe as Janet who really goes through some terrifying experiences (think of "The Exorcist) and Laura Esposito as her older sister. Franke Polenta has the thankless role of the psychiatrist who disbelieves everything regardless of the dozens of eye witnesses to the awful events. A most enjoyable double bill of classic ghost stories that WILL scare you. (P.S. Why is that lovely actress Maria Doyle Kennedy hardly in it at all. Part on cutting room floor???)

A must-have!
Received this as a birthday gift and absolutely loved it! The Conjuring is one of my favourite horror franchises and so to have these available to watch is great (especially when you see the price to stream digitally). Would definitely recommend.

There is no online digital copy included!
The two films are excellent and they are the most near to perfect modern classic horror you can get, so the reason for four stars instead of five? Well on the box, and therefore you might be buying it for this reason, it says the DVD includes a digital copy online that you can watch and stream online from the Ultraviolet website, but that is not so. The company Ultraviolet shut down its website in the spring of 2019 and so you are just getting the DVD with no digital copies. Worth knowing before you buy. Still, excellent set with two great movies and better value than buying separately.
