There is no remote option with the lights unless you attach it to some remote operated accessory. The timer is on the outside of the battery box - your choices via push button are timer (6 hrs), on or off.

No. Each garland is one complete unit. If you wanted it to appear as one, you could use a twist tie to fasten them together, but each battery pack will still operate, independently of the other, to control each section.
