The Kreg PRS1000 Corner Routing Guide makes shaping corners easy. Makes all your corners on a project symmetrical. I particularly like the fact that my fingers are pretty far away from the business end of the router. I have seen other tools designed to do the same operation, but many of them look like your fingers are way too close to the router bit. Always use a jig saw or band saw to remove most of the material before using this this tool and a router. Safety must always be top priority.

Nice product, corners match up well to sides, easy to use.

I own several other Kreg products so I was a bit disappointed when I opened this corner routing template guide set. The plastic is pretty flimsy, and I'm not sure the base would survive a fall or two on a concrete floor. But the biggest disappointment are the circular templates themselves. In the set I received, only the 1-1/2" template actually aligns with the base reference edges to form a 90-degree corner; the other guides are all out of square as shown in the photos. Granted they'll all create "rounded" corners but it doesn't speak well of the manufacturer or their view of their customer base. I mean, if you're going to the trouble of making a 2" radius template, why not actually make it a 2" radius? The locking mechanism in the base for the guides is also problematic: it's a very tight fit; hard going in and even worse coming out. Also, clamping the base to the workpiece (which I highly recommend) tends to bow the plastic a bit, in turn lifting/tilting the guide; the weight of a heavy router will force the guide back flat on the workpiece, but if you're using a light trim router, you may need to apply extra down force or you'll get a wavy edge that's not perpendicular. That said, I successfully rounded the corners of a table I'm building without incident. But this product isn't up to the standards of other Kreg products such as their pocket screw joinery line.

This jig is made very well with a high density polymer plastic, making it easy to assemble and disassemble. Using this piece with a palm router made my cornering and chamfering a breeze. On first use, I did not hold my palm router firmly and the router bit caught the edge pulling the corner plastic out of the jig. If the piece had not popped out I could have potentially severed my finger or cut it when the router grabbed the jig. I asked Kreg Tools if they would sell me a replacement piece so I wouldn’t have to buy the entire kit. To my great surprise they offered to send replacements for the galled plastic pieces to me at no charge! I have never received a service response so generously. Kreg Tools rocked this one!!
