We deliberately left a few months since we've had a few salt/pepper grinders which are great to start but die pretty swiftly. This set is not one of them. They have a good capacity and are easy to use. You have to get used to the fact they have a cap and you have to turn them upside down but these things are actually good - no more little circles of salt or pepper on the work surface and the cap helps prevent the contents getting damp. Excellent - recommend these highly. A bit pricey but definitely worth the money at the reduced price. For years and years I have put up with salt and pepper dispensers that grind from the bottom, which means they leave a trail and salt and pepper on tables and work surfaces. It's driven me crazy! I was therefore delighted beyond words to discover a grinder set that not only looks fabulous but whose grinder mechanism is at the top! Just as efficient, but no wasted salt and pepper and no mess. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. I would also like to mention Twinzee's fantastic customer service: There was a problem with one of the grinder pots (damaged in transit perhaps) and not only did the manufacturer replace the set, it also arranged, via Amazon, for me to be refunded the full amount. Now THAT is customer service! I am very, very impressed.

These are very large and nice to look at on a table. The salt grinder is ok but needs to be clean regirlarly if you like fine salt. You can apparently regulate the size but I do not think this works well with my set. It is however the best set I have ever purchased!

These are great! The glass is nice and thick giving it a very solid feel. The steel is good quality, not thin and flimsy like other brands I've seen. The caps on the top are excellent at keeping moisture out, which is what ruined our last set, particularly due to salt's tendency to absorb moisture. The grind setting wheel underneath is sturdy and provides a very wide range from very coarse to powder-fine, and it's quite easy to change to fit your preferences or even between different dishes. No matter which setting you have them at, they seem to cope very well with both coarse sea salt and pepper, giving a very smooth grinding action and no snags or jolts. All in all, I'm very impressed with these.

Looks lovely on the dining table. Easy to hold and use and no mess left in the holder. Holds quite a bit of salt and mixed peppers.Initially very good quality product and well finished. However after using the set for 5 months the salt grinder adjustment seized up and could not be adjusted again and the pepper adjuster kept loosening and did not grind the pepper. I returned the set for a refund as they had become unserviceable, and ordered a set of the T & G upright mills which we had before which lasted about 20 years.

No problem with the grinders so far which is more than I can say for the stand. It is rubbish.With three of its feet on the table the forth foot was about 3mm in the air so it would always rock. Managed to twist it level in a using a lever and a vice but the bottom inside bars are unlevel and the grinders rock to and fro instead of sitting flat because they are resting on the one bar which is highest. Also, if like us you have a polished wooden table it is probably not a good idea to place this stand on it with its four metal balls for feet, seems like scratches are are bound to happen. I will keep the grinders but have thrown the stand in the bin. I have since seen very similar grinders with a rubber base/stand, maybe this would have been a better option.

At first sight, these looked like really well designed and serviceable salt and pepper grinders: who could argue with the clever "right-way-up" orientation, the lids to stop half-ground salt and pepper spilling onto your work surfaces, and the wide necks for easy filling? Transparent, so you can see the levels at a glance, and with stainless steel tops, built to survive even the most hostile kitchen environment . . . what could possibly go wrong? Well, nothing at first: for six months they provided first-class service and entirely lived up to the manufacturer's claims. Then the caddy started to rust – unlike the grinding mechs, it is made of chromed steel, not stainless, and, sure enough, is already rusting at the welds. A month later the pepper mill simply stopped grinding. It still turns beautifully, and makes a nice grind-y noise, but no milled pepper appears. Finally, yesterday, three weeks short of a year after the set was delivered, the salt mill seized completely. When I tried to turn it, the main shaft simply sheared off in my hands, leaving it unusable. I accept that the item is relatively inexpensive, but who wants to commit to buying a new one every years because the old one has worn out? Deeply disillusioned.

Very pleased with my new salt and pepper grinder set. My old black pepper grinder was a faff to fill and difficult to use whilst depositing bits of peppercorn everywhere it was put down. There is none of that with this well designed set - the grinding mechanism unscrews and the glass 'pots' are easy to fill, then the whole thing is turned upside down to deliver the well ground contents where you want it with a cap on it to store. It is elegant enough to put on the table and easy to carry in the holder. Top product at a really good price too.

Il prodotto é imballato molto bene, i macinini sono avvolti singolarmente in bustine di pluriball all'interno del loro supporto (porta macinini) di metallo. le dimensioni reali e le caratteristiche del prodotto sono : - altezza singolo macinino cm 13,5 (incluso il coperchietto metallo di protezione) - larghezza singolo macinino cm 6,5 (alla base che é la parte piú larga) - il macinino é in vetro abbastanza spesso, la parte superiore é costituita dalla macina che si avvita al vetro e da un coperchietto sottile a protezione della macina stessa - cestello porta macinini in metallo : larghezza cm 16,5 x altezza cm 18. Purtroppo il mio é arrivato un pó storto pertanto i piedini di supporto non aderiscono bene su una superficie piana e ondeggia un pó con i macinini dentro. Ho provato a regolare il tipo di grana con il sale a grani grossi dell' Himalaya e con dei grani di pepe misto ed in entrambi i casi i risultati sono buoni. In effetti il set é un pochino ingombrante viste le dimensioni, tutto sommato é molto maneggevole, stabile sul tavolo perché non particolarmente leggero (da non sottovalutare come dettaglio) e soprattutto facile da ricaricare. Consiglio personale : Il cestello porta macinini (a parte il mio leggermente difettoso) vá bene per riporre i macini nel mobile, portandolo il tavola si ha "l'effetto ristorante", quindi il set risulta essere meno elegante. PREGI : set molto comodo, pratico, molto facili i contenitori di vetro da riempire perché l'imboccatura é larga, i contenitori in vetro si possono lavare tranquillamente in lavapiatti perché il vetro non si opacizza, la macina ha una funzione manuale (non a pile), la macina si puó regolare da grana fine a grana grossa ed é molto valida, le parti in metallo nel tempo non hanno subito alterazioni esterne di colore e/o macchie di ossidazione. DIFETTI : al momento nessuno, sará comunque mia cura modificare la mia recensione in caso contrario. Imballaggio buono e spedizione entro i termini di consegna previsti. Venditore consigliato. Dieses Set ist super geeignet für grobes Salz und ganze Pfefferkörner. Der gewünschte Mahlgrad lässt sich ganz einfach per drehen am Rädchen unterm Deckel einstellen. Einfach den Deckel abheben, das Rad vom Mahlwerk weiter raus drehen für ein gröberes Mahlergebnis oder weiter reindrehen für feineres Mahlgut. Die Öffnung zur Befüllung ist schön groß, so dass man die Mühlen in sekundenschnelle wieder aufgefüllt hat. Der Behälter als solches ist so groß, dass ein ganzes Päckchen Salz oder Pfeffer der supermarktüblichen Größen hineinpasst. Das Mahlergebnis ist sehr gut, die Streuer liegen gut in der Hand. Ob das Mahlwerk tatsächlich aus Keramik ist kann ich so nicht beurteilen, jedoch liegt eine Garantiekarte für eine lebenslange Garantie bei, was meiner Meinung nach tatsächlich auf ein Keramikmahlwerk schließen lässt. Man muss sich lediglich auf der Twinzee-Homepage registrieren, was auch nur einige Sekunden in Anpruch nimmt. Man muss dort nur seinen Namen und Emailadresse angeben, Produkt auswählen und den auf der Garantiekarte aufgedruckten Code eingeben, fertig! In dem mitgeliefertem Spender aus Chrom sieht das Ganze auf dem Esstisch richtig edel aus, macht sich aber auch gut auf der Küchenzeile. Der Versand hat 2 Tage gedauert, die Streuer wurden in der Originalverpackung durch Luftpolsterfolie gut geschützt und waren nochmal sorgfältig umverpackt. Leider wird das Produkt als nicht spülmaschinengeeignet deklariert, den oberen Teil mit dem Mahlwerk würde ich persönlich ohnehin nicht in den Geschirrspüler tun, aber auch die Behälter selber sind unter Wasser schnell gereinigt und das Trocknen ist wieder dank der großen Öffnung kein Problem. Für den Preis ein absolutes Schnäppchen und klare Kaufempfehlung!

La qualité de la mouture est vraiment agréable car réglable en continu de fin à gros. L'utilisation est simple, que ce soit pour le remplissage du flacon en verre (assez épais donc solide), ou pour régler la finesse de mouture. Le couvercle est une bonne idée pour préserver les saveurs et aussi pour des raisons d'hygiène. La forme de l'objet reste esthétique et fera honneur à votre table. Au final, je recommande ce duo de moulins sel/poivre, même si le prix est un peu élevé par rapport à certains concurrents.

sono veramente piacevoli alla vista e belli da tenere in mano (essendo in vetro ed acciaio danno un'idea di solidità e di ben fatto). do le 4 stelle solo per una leggera imprecisione nelle macine (risultano leggermente storte, anche se questo non intacca assolutamente il funzionamento); inoltre il pepe rosa non viene macinato molto bene (ma devo dire che non è secchissimo e che anche con gli altri macinini in mio possesso ho lo stesso inconveniente). con grani di pepe più compatto e secco funziona perfettamente, così come con qualsiasi tipo di sale. nel complesso sono soddisfatto e rifarei l'acquisto senza dubbio
