Almost the only electronics toolkit you'll ever need
I bought this just over a week ago, and so far I've already used it to open up and clean my nephew's laptop, and open up and repair an old Panasonic sound bar. There are tools inside for almost every conceivable use, and a few that I don't even know what they're for. There are driver heads for almost everything, and a few I don't recognise (perhaps they are for some proprietary screws used by some manufacturers? I don't know). These heads are all on the small side, so you won't - for example - get a larger-girth Phillips head bit, but chances are high that those are the kinds of driver heads you already have an ample supply of. They are magnetic, though, decently so. I was able to pull out some reasonably long screws from a laptop entirely with the magnet, and they didn't fall. Unfortunately, the driver bits have some kind of non-standard, narrow shank I've not seen before, so I can't use them with my main ratcheting screwdriver or any other socketed screwdrivers for that matter, so you're stuck with using the screwdriver that came with the kit. The screwdriver itself is... fine. It feels nice in the hand and is made from metal. The blue top freely rotates, so you can hold it steady with one hand and rotate the driver below with another, and the grip is well-textured. It's on the thin side, so if you've got a particularly tight screw you might fail to get much purchase, but I haven't had problems so far. It also comes with a flexible extension, allowing you to unscrew things at weird angles in hard-to-reach places. The driver set is contained in a very sturdy ABS case. The lid is firmly held on magnetically, and the whole case attaches to the fabric container via a magnetic plate. When the case is removed, you can slide this magnetic plate out of the fabric kit and use it to keep screws in place. Other tools include various prising tools and spudgers, several different sets of tweezers (which all feel impressive to use and very sturdy), an anti-static wristband, and a suction cup (which I haven't had cause to use yet, so I don't know how effective it is). Everything in the set feels very high quality. I don't see any of it wearing out any time soon. It's a fantastic kit and should have almost everything you'll ever need to perform electronics surgery on your gizmos. A little on the expensive side (including a small soldering iron as well might have sweetened the deal, and would make this kid 'complete'), but you get what you pay for, I suppose.

Good kit for those who tinker a bit even if just computers - has a lot of useful bits
I build pcs a lot and tinker with things like repairing mice, laptops, anything really. The screwdriver and screw bits are worth it alone, some of the bits are really hard to come by, for example the star driver bits that are included in this kit. The plastic tools that come with the ifixit kits are not the best quality though... you can't expect too much for the price but they do break quite easily. Screw driver has a nice grip, very easy to use and the cover for the screw box is magnectic and very handy to store screws in as you're dismantling something.

Outstanding quality!
I've had many tech repair kits before and this one is by far the best so far! All the tools included feels such good quality, they don't break after using them once (pry tools mainly) and they get the job done quicker than most others! The screwdriver feels great to use and the bits that go into it feel strong and capable. There's a bit for near enough every tech screw you can imagine, even one for a SIM card. In the cheap kits the bit tends to bend but these haven't budged. I like how it all comes in one case with a slot for each tool so everything stays together nicely. Overall I wouldn't pay for any cheap sets ever again it's nice to find a set that has had some thought put into it and not made cheaply.

Perfect for tech self-repair enthusiasts
This kit contains quite possibly everything you'll need to get started repairing your own tech devices such as phones, tablets, laptops, game consoles etc. The screwdriver bits and other included tools appear to be very high quality and will not break or crumble like cheaper alternatives do. The blue plastic spudgers are designed in a way where they will break if you use too much pressure trying to open a device, and they do this to stop you from breaking the actual device. There is an anti-static wrist strap included which is an absolute must-have, especially if your home or work environment has carpet flooring. Static sometimes builds up in your body and is silent but can be deadly to your electronics. The included user guide advises you on various ways to use the wrist strap. The suction cup tool is handy for lifting screens up on phones or tablets, if the screen is cracked, sticky tape should be applied over the cracked area to reduce the chance of the suction cup not doing its job properly. Amongst all this, there are various other tools included such as tweezers, pick tools and pry tools. These are all pretty self-explanatory. There's a plastic container which contains all the screwdriver bits (64 of them in total), the actual screwdriver tool and an extension tool for screws in hard-to-reach places. On the lid of the screwdriver bit container, there's a sorting grid for keeping small screws safe when you're working on an electronic, and inside the fabric outer case, there's a magnetic pad that holds the screwdriver bit container in place. I'm not sure whether this has any other intended use, but personally I use it for mapping out the screws when I'm working on a device to help me remember where the screws go when I reassemble it if I am not using a step-by-step guide. I am very pleased with my purchase and I find it a lot easier to work on my electronics than I ever could before. This toolkit paired up with the repair guides on the iFixit website are a match made in heaven for right-to-repair enthusiasts such as myself

Best tool kit out there
I love everything about this kit. The quality of the tools to the layout is great, lots of different bits for specialist devices. Yes there are cheaper kits out there but none of them compare to this. Highly recommend this if you want something that lasts and is reliable. Easy to put away and not too big either

Nice selection of tools - perhaps a little expensive for the quality though
If you're into repairing small devices such as mobile phones, laptops and computers then this is quite a nice all-in-one kit. It has a wide selection of different driver bits an a variety of tools for prising apart devices etc. without causing too much damage. I've used it a few times for various projects so far. The last thing I used it for was removing the heatsink assembly from a graphics card to install a waterblock and it has perfect sized pieces for this work. The plastic tools were useful in helping to prise the the heatsink off the PCB (scary moment!). I really like the lid of the screwdriver box which can be used to store screws, corresponding driver bits and small components when working on them. It's proven very useful for laptops where you have several different sizes of screws. The lid also attaches to the bottom half of the box using magnets which is a nice touch. I personally think this kit is expensive for what you actually get and you could quite easily purchase all of the tools in this kit from different vendors etc. for potentially a fraction of the cost. For example, I originally had a 30-in-1 Rolson set that I got from PoundLand for a quid! The driver part broke in the end but the bits were still fine. There are also several alternative manufacturers offering similar kits for less money. What I think you are getting with this kit is the research iFixIt has done to determine what tools are required for a large number of different repairs so that you only really need this kit and not several different ones.... piece of mind perhaps? For the most part the quality seems OK. It's definitely not the best quality tools I've purchased and for the money I think I was expecting better. The bits are OK and I haven't damaged them with any of the work I've done but you never really know until you get that really stubborn screw that refuses to undo and rounds off the driver bit and screw head! My kit arrived packaged up in a retail box and I've had no problems with the foldable case being too tight etc. No parts were missing from the kit. The driver itself feels quite nice but the magnet is not very strong. Unfortunately the ESD Safe angled tweezers arrived with a bent tip which appeared to be a manufacturing defect. A simple visual inspection of the tool would have highlighted this but it still left the factory in that condition which leads me to think quality control might not be that great. Credit to iFixIt I contacted them about the issue and they shipped out a replacement with no quibbles so the customer service was good from that perspective. It was still a disappointment to receive a faulty item considering how much it cost though. The kit comes with a lifetime warranty so will be interesting to see if I will need to use it again. Hopefully some of the extra you pay for this kit goes towards that. Pros: - Nice selection of tools - Comes in a foldable pouch so it's easy to transport around - The driver set lid is useful for storing screws and driver bits etc. whilst working on things - Lifetime warranty - Excellent customer service when contacted about a faulty tool Cons: - Expensive - Not the best quality tools out there - Magnet on the driver isn't very strong... Personal preference, I guess. - Quality Control didn't pick up on faulty tweezers

High-Quality Toolkit for Hobbyists and Professionals Alike
While this may be on the pricier side, iFixit is renowned for their quality toolkits, and this one certainly doesn't disappoint. I frequently find myself using this toolkit to open up my devices for modding, cleaning, and maintenance, as well as for fixing random bits and bobs around the house. The screwdriver features a comfortable and textured grip with a rotating top, allowing you to use it with one hand. The bits that come with the kit are almost perfect, with the only additional bit I would want being a Torx bit for consoles (which is inexpensive to buy separately). The screwdriver also includes a flexible extension for reaching difficult screws. Of course, all the bits are magnetised and of reasonable strength. The included spudgers and picks are ideal for opening devices like phones. When I used them to open a Samsung screen, neither the picks and spudgers nor my phone screen were damaged. My only (minor) issues are that the holder for the picks is flimsy, often causing them to escape and clutter the case, and that the suction cup doesn't have as strong a grip as I would like. Overall, whether you're a hobbyist or a professional, this toolkit is a great choice for your needs.
