Straight forward and to the point. Very informative. Would have been nice to have a chapter on the other two pillars of Islam (Pilgrimage to Mecca and Ramadan) but nevertheless definitely worth a read to those wanting to know more about Islam.

Very basic

I’m new to Islam, having lived in the Middle East for some time, I always had a interest in it, but this is the first time I’ve been able to find a suitable book to help me grasp the basics. There are some negative comments published, I’d never discourage anyone from speaking out their own opinions, but if you genuinely have an Interest in wanting to understand and learn some of the basics, grab a copy of this book.

Love this little book and great for beginners and new the the faith like me, definitely helped me. I gave it four stars, as I do think they could have maybe made more content but definitely has all the basics covered.

Simple to read and understand, just what i wanted. I really only wanted a few of the Arabic translations but it's fascinating to read a little more about the basics of the religion, things i never even knew.

As a Christian I find this book very like Christianity in its core beliefs and to have it and read it if has added to my life and respect all I have read C. Greenwood

If you are a Muslim for more than, let’s say, one month… it’s not for you. It’s very very useful for people that know almost nothing. Don’t criticize the book for its biggest strength.

Good for a new Muslim

"Welcome" is an apt word in the title--this is one of the most welcoming texts I've ever read in my life. The content is concise, yet understandable and informative. Everything is explained in a simple, friendly way, and the author also provides a glossary and list of external resources for learning more. For a new convert/revert, or even just as a "check in" after years, this is a great way to help keep yourself focused on values and priorities. It would also be a nice guide for something who wants to learn a bit about Islam or Muslims, to be more understanding and accepting. The Kindle edition is accessible and easy to navigate; I hope that my images (screenshots) help to illustrate this.

I actually got this as a starting source for learning about Islam. I am not a Muslim, but rather curious about the religion. It is a good source to learn from, but it is only a starting point. I would recommend it for new Muslims and others like myself who want to know more.
