Buy the brand name, this is a good quality item
I have wanted one of these for years. Finally bought it and it works great and is fun to use.I like that it has a green light that shows that is working. And turns red when electrical current is detected. That way you know it is working - green light means it is on. Otherwise how would you know when the batteries are dead, or the detector is broken.Seems well made, and turns off automatically (if you forget to turn off after use.This tester is very helpful!

What I expected from Klein!
Carry it for day to day plumbing since I occasionally run into electrical that I have to confirm is off. Voltage tester is perfect for this.The plug tester was a bonus. Use it for items in my home whenever I modify something.
