It works fine to contain odor and retain freshness. I might like a smaller one to go with it since it takes up room if my onions are small. It worked nicely for my large one.

I love this! It’s a great onion holder and keeps the onion odor locked in. I would buy other like products from them they’re that good.

It’s big enough for holding most of an onion, if you’re only using a little of it, and as long as the leftover onion is not HUGE. I bought a different onion saver that won’t hold near as much as this one holds. I also recommend washing it by hand. I think it would help with making it easier to open and close for a longer time. An old one I had for years and machine washed ended up after many years started getting VERY hard to open and close. I am pleased with this purchase and with the seller, and would purchase from them again.

The Ortarco Onion Keeper is great; it's sealed and airtight. If the Ortarco Garlic Keeper were also sealed and airtight, it would also be great—but it's not, thanks to its large ventilation holes. Keeping peeled garlic cloves in the fridge requires having a sealed, airtight container—which it is not. Pro tip: Garlic bulbs and unpeeled cloves are best kept outside the fridge, in porous, moisture-absorbing terracotta—not plastic! I truly hope Ortarco changes its Garlic Keeper design to make it fridge-friendly! The misrepresentation was a letdown.
