Great camera for your vehicle.
Very clear, accurate, and sharp picture. It does everything I need and was customizable to reverse the picture and eliminate guide lines. It included a long enough wires and the chrome finish is high quality. Easy to install and a great value as well.

Some imprtant things to Consier
This Green Yi adjustable 720P camera replaced another similarly designed camera, which was not adjustable and because of the design AND the way I chose to mount it (the first one), it pointed a little too low for a really good (normal) rear field of view. But my main goal was to see my trailer hitch ball when backing up to my boat trailer so for that it was perfect. The new Green YI, being adjustable, definitely allowed me to point it better. I now see (saw) my trailer hitch ball AND had a much better rear field of view. Score 1 star for Green YI. The mounting poisition I chose for my first backup simiarly non-adjustable backup camera was to go through one of the license plate mounting holes. These cameras are delivered in such a way that the mounting of it requires a hole of some kind through which to insert the threaded post of the camera. A nut is supplied to lock it in place after it is inserted through the hole. The wiring harness and its plastic connector (approx. 18" long) will fit through the mounting hole chosen. If the threaded post will fit through the hole, the connector and harness will as well. There are a couple of very important things to consider before choosing this mounting scenario. (1) Will the threaded post on the back of the camera housing be LONG ENOUGH to extend far enough behind the thickness of the 1) license plate, 2) the car's body material and 3) any other covers, facades, etc... Remember, you'll be securing it in place by the supplied nut and as long as that threaded post extrudes far enough through the afore-mentioned obstacles, you're good to go. I had to grind down a little metal just a wee bit to get the nut to catch and thread enough to lock on. Many people will not be willing or able to do this. But fret not, the #2 STAR rating for this product is awarded for the additional mounting configuration options supplied with the camera, as well as a very quick "silent", but demonstrative" video showing how to disassemble the delivered camera housing and reconfigure it with one of the other options. One of the other options does not require a hole for attaching the camera to whatever surface you choose because it uses two-sided tape. This would obviously be the quickest and easiest and probably most versatile installation method, but I cannot comment on how secure of long-lasting that type of installation is because I've never done it. The other option uses a small bracket to which the housing is attached. This option gives you some additional flexibility but probably not as much as using the stick on method. The bracket will have to be attached somehow, either by screws or tape, but again, I do not know how durable the tape method will be. I suppose that will depend on the quality of the tape. Finally, but still importantly, with either of these optional mounting methods, you'll still have to get the video wires inside of the vehicle so make sure you know where you are going to be able to run those wires. You may have to drill a small hole big enough through which to run the plastic connector. The 3rd STAR rating is for the video quality. This is where it is important for you to do a little research. This camera is designed for a specific resolution and will look best on a screen/monitor/head unit with a matching screen resolution. Also, make sure that the supplied video cable connector (yellow RCA type) is what will match up with your viewing device's video input jack! Most will accept the RCA connector, but just make sure. This camera allows for some video signal diversity and I am not totally sure about what that means. One the video cable there is a spot where there are a few exposed colored wires. To accomplish one or more of the "video signal options", yiou would simply snip/cut one or more of the wires depending on what you need. Green Yi attempts to explain these options/settings, but, as we all have come to know, the Chinese [often] do not produce very precise, detailed, logical and understandable instruction manuals. That is why I haven't messed with any of those wire-snipping options. I prayed that when I plugged the RCA connector to my head unit.. that it would work... and it did thank God. There are grid lines built into the image you see, which appear to be accurate. Most of the time, the image pops up quickly on my screen when I put my vehicle in reverse, but occassionally there is a longer delay. Overall, the video quality is good, but I don't think it's stunning by any means. Again, if you're viewing device is capable of higher resolutions, get the highest your unit will support. One the big reasons for not rating this product higher seals with the fact that the wires coming out of the rear of the camera itself are EXTREME THIN AND DELICATE. I have twisted off (broken) the wires from both the original camera and the new Green YI in the same way. I had to replace the handle and locking mechanism on my 2002 Toyota Sequioa and in the process of trying to disassemble things, those delicate wires broke easily. And, again. to be fair, that is because I chose to use the threaded post mounting method. Had I used one of the other mounting options, I believe I would not have had to damage the wires. To Green YI, I would suggest using a similar plastic connector on the camera end of the cable as you do on the other end of the cable, which connects to the power/video harness so that it can be quickly assembled/disassembled without risk of twisting and breaking the wires. And better instructions in better English would be greatly appreciated as well. I hope this kind of review helps you in choosing the best backup camera for you (if your vehicle did not come with one already).

Excellent camera
I bought one of these for a cargo trailer. It works really well. Very clear picture. Very good ability to aim it just right. I then put one on mu Corvette along with a stereo head unit replacement. Then on my RV trailer. It's so much better I got a 4th one to replace the one that feeds the aftermarket head unit in my old truck. That one is in an aftermarket tailgate latch handle trim made for a camera. I had to get the flush mount adapter for that one and make the hole bigger in the trim. But it has a much clearer picture and is aimed better being adjustable. It's better by a Longshot than the factory one on my new truck. I thought that one was really good before. Now I know it's just so so.

Started great, isn't lasting
Updating my review... while I initially had some issues with video quality, customer service reached out quickly and sent a complete new camera, cabling, etc. Im very happy they stand behind their product, and they ensured that I was satisfied. This camera is working better, and based on their customer service I would rate this product as very good value. I have been thru multiple rain storms, and washes as of now, and yet there is no water intrusion. Feels like a quality producct. My previous review below: I bought this camera specifically for the fact that the wire can be cut to mirror the image. So many cams have the image "reversed" and I didn't want that. The image quality was fine when I hooked it up in a test before final install in the tailgate, but after running the wires for final install (used same power and ground) after a couple of days the image quality is suffering tremendously. There is like static on screen, lines horizontally, and the camera keeps shifting in its socket even though the set screw is nice and tight. Maybe I got a bad unit, but I'm very disappointed that this is happening just a couple of days later. The night visions seems to work well, but again, the image has so much static type noise that's its almost worthless. I guess it's time for me to try another camera.

Almost great.
Picture quality is 5 star but I docked two stars because the set screw for tightening the position of the lenses doesn’t work very well. It’s surprisingly difficult to adjust the direction the camera points. I thought this would be a great feature because I’m using it as a front camera on my Motorhome. They really need two set screws, one on each side because when you tighten the single set screw it skews the camera to one side and off adjustment. With two people holding it I was able to get it adjusted and so far it’s stayed in place. Everything else about this camera is 5 star but the set screw is a big enough issue to make it a three star.

Don't buy anything else!!!
This thing is perfect I put it below my third brake light on my pickup to see my box and it is so versatile and so adjustable and the image is so high quality high def You can see the front corners of the box even on the truck all the way back to complete cargo everything and high enough to see anything you're towing on top of that two other than a 6 ft high trailer etc. The installation is easy because they give you all the hardware everything you'll need other than your own little wrench but it also comes with the hex wrench to adjust the viewing angles You just really don't need anything else and the performance is second to none You can use this camera for a backup camera side camera or a front camera or like I did I made my own use for it as a box camera below my third brake light on my Chevy Silverado I'm just telling you this is a really good camera.

Works great with a GreenYi monitor !! I had some problems at first, but customer service was fantastic and got me fixed up right away !! This camera is frikken awesome for an 11-16 Scion tC. (I'll add some photos later ..... Sorry.) Because of the way the rear hatch and rear bumper cover are designed on my 2013 Scion tC, it's difficult to get a back-up camera working right. Can't use the usual license plate cameras because they only show the bumper cover and 1 foot behind my car (license plate is too sunken in) and they ALL block the darn hatch-open button, so I can't get my groceries into my car !! But this one by GreenYi is perfect, and using the metal mount, it couldn't fit any better !! I mean, it really fits perfectly right beside my license plate light, and it doesn't block my hatch-open button at all !! The picture quality is awesome, and because of the fisheye lens, it lets me see everything behind me when I back up. That's really important. I don't want to hit some Karen and her kids because she was in a hurry and assumed I could see right through the metal parts of my car. Anyways, I don't know why other people had problems with this camera. It's super easy to use and even easier to install. Two things to remember........ 1/. You won't get a picture untill you put your car in reverse (IF you did the right thing and connected the power cable to your reverse lights 2/. The picture becomes perfect, and the parking lines become centered, when you cut the orange wire and switch the mode to AHD (if you buught the GreenYi monitor. They both work perfectly together and worth every penny). Lastly, their customer service department is incredible, so use them !! They will help you get your camera up and working like it should.

I've had a few different backup cameras over the years. I like this one the best because you can aim it. I got this to hitch up my fifth wheel trailer so it is mounted under my third brake light. Resolution is fine. Nice that you can rotate the lens 180 degrees. It works nicely. Now to finish the rest of the truck.
