This is a great and super fast little boat. It helps that they basically can't tip over - even if you do crazy jumps off wake or another boat it's going to stay upright. The range is good enough that if you're operating on a pond you'll never be out of range. On a lake, we noticed that we could take it out a couple of hundred feet from the dock, which is about as far as you can easily see it in waves anyway. Battery life is reasonable, but I had to replace one battery after a year. Thankfully, new batteries are inexpensive. The props are very sensitive to small amounts of damage. Even a tiny nick on the prop from running into the beach will dramatically slow down your boat. Your best bet is to pick up a couple of extra batteries and props when you purchase one.And while you're at it, purchase a second boat too, because it's great to have two or more of these boats zipping around and having a blast.

DO NOT BUY!! Used it a few times in the lake and the pool, maybe like 6, and I pick it up after maybe 3 months of inactivity from my desk turned it on, The battery is fine, Servo is fine. I can steer the rudder and work the lights but when I try to move it doesn’t do anything, I kist hear a small when coming from the motor and it gets really hot. Now I cant even connect the controller even with a full charge and the charge light won’t come on. Waste of 60 bucks if you ask me. Total Scam.

It was a fun little boat with stock internals but my kids wanted more speed to keep up with my bigger brushless rc boat so I installed a 2435 4800kv 2s brushless motor with a 25amp hobby park esc. Also added some stabilizer fins at the bottom and next going to add longer adjustable turn blades. Ive had this boat for over a year so it was well worth the upgrade from stock. This thing is very fast for 2s and is pretty stable at hight speeds. Re waterproof the inside and re-seal the screws is all I'm going to say or eventually the electronics will fail. Trust me because it will fill with water and in time it just gets worse. But don't let that stop you from buying this boat. It's very upgradable for such a small boat.

these boats are extremely fun. I own four so far. I have had no issues. The remote control will start beeping when the battery is getting low. has a pretty good run time. will not get stuck upside down. they are plenty fast. they even sound cool zooming bye. you may want to look into a second battery as they take a while to charge. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to have fun on the water with no need to get wet.

a ton of fun! but the motor stopped working after a couple days - but we had so much fun we opted for a replacement and not the refund. This was a hit on our lake trip and moves very fast but not too fast that you can't control it - perfect speed for beginners.
