One of the best CRKTโs
Incredible knife with an amazingly fast opening. I have all of the homefront models including the takedown models, and this is my favorite one because of the assisted opening. If they couldโve gotten the assisted opening WITH the Ken Onion takedown feature, and a 3.7โ S35VN blade or 14C28N I think this wouldโve sold more than any other model. Still love this knife super sharp easy to sharpen, very tough, built for real world use this was my go to for like a year. Definitely worth grabbing before itโs gone

Watch what you order the adds are deceptive....
Add and and most of the description says CRKT Homefront EDC Folding Pocket Knife Take Apart Field Strip but its not the field strip knife. Great knife but not what I thought I was ordering. Shame on them.

Great brand well made
Get my hubby one of these every year. It's very durable and well made. All he has been using since he opened the package.

over priced compared to similar products.
way over priced for its budget design and materials. feels well made, deployment is slow due to its overly thick blade, does not slice well due to the edge geometry behind its cutting edge. the edge grind is reminiscent of a hatchet and not a knife. the pivot holes in the blade can be a weak point if used hard as would the liner lock. opens easily enough though and has a full size feel to the knife, suggesting heavy use intended but this i would not recommend. overall, I think it would be better suited to a $50-$80 price point for the none field strip version. the $100+ maybe for the one WITH the field strip tech but this seems more of a gimmick and not for those who struggle mechanically.

CRKT IS BEST VALUE FOR DOLLAR
These knives are great in the field. They work perfectly from gutting deer to potentially frightening would-be assailants.

My EDC
I live this knife, Iโve been carrying the Field strip model for a couple of years. I ordered this model thinking it was a field strip, turned out to be an assisted open, and I love it. The action is super smooth, nice thuds it locks open.

cool design, bad execution
this is a really, really cool knife design but sadly was shoddily executed. i purchased it years ago while overseas, lost it, then bought it again thinking i would be getting the same exact knife. this was not the case. upon receipt, i tested the field disassembly feature, only for the lever to fail to return to its proper alignment no matter how much pressure was applied IAW the reassembly instructions. thinking something was wrong with the parts, i proceeded to fully disassemble it, only for the same issue to arise again once i managed to get it all back together again. word to the wise, if you ever do attempt full disassembly, the disassembly lever is able to be actuated by an absolutely microscopic steel ball (which is *very* easy to lose). gonna just stick to my buck knives, at least those american made blades won't ever let me down
