How many times can you replace the refills before you need to replace the plug?

A looooooooooonnnng time! It will last many years given you are not going to use it everyday. You will see/smell it when you can't use it any longer.

Do these have a use by date.. I don't intend on needing this volume too soon, but it's more economical to bulk buy as long they don't end up in th bin
