Can't believe how nice this looks on the wall. Really brings out the character in the painting having it by itself. Awesome!

The colors are nice. It's a nice large size. I think because of all the detail these kind of images should be even larger in size or else it comes out way more pixelated... However, it was on the cheaper side for diamond arts of this size. With that being said, it does have some negative aspects... Such as a lot of the beads are difficult to pick up. I don't know if it's on account of the really soft gummy material they provide (the pink stuff you use in the pen), or if it's because a lot of the gems are poor quality and very shallow so they don't rise up in a good enough point to really stick into the goo. I'm assuming it's one, the other, and a combination of both. I still don't know if this is going to be nice enough for me to frame when I'm done? But it is an entertaining project in the meantime. I've definitely had worse. I gave it three stars mostly because of the quality of the gems and then being a pain to pick up too often. Obviously as you can see it doesn't prevent me from being able to do the project.. it's just really, really annoying. You get these beads all over the place as it is, but when they're constantly falling off of the pin before you could get them to the spot on the canvas... let's just say I'm constantly finding these things stuck to the bottom of my feet and all over my body when I get up out of bed LOL because often times I'll do this while sitting in bed watching tv. Another downside is that these beads do not have much of a shine compared to other brands. They are relatively dull. Which is fine for me in this case, because this is not the kind of picture that I would really want to sparkle, anyway. As it is, I was intending to use a mat sealant anyhow to reduce the shine to make it look more like a painting. And just for reference I'm showing a picture of it partially completed. What you're seeing in all those little squares is that when I first get these I usually take off the entire film that covers it and I replace it with little sections of parchment paper so that I can take off a little area at a time and work on it. It was a game changer when I started doing that years ago. I also recommend getting a light board, as well as your own diamond art pen to replace those cheap pink pins that come with your art. Those pens that you can purchase are also a game changer. So much nicer on your hands and fingers when you're doing this for long periods of time. Easier to grip.
