Matched and fitted existing set up and worked well

Because of building work., needed to shift a metal gate originally 'latched' to a strike plate catch cemented into a concrete post onto two wooden posts. All that was needed (evidently) was a "Replacement Bolt On Gate Catch latch keep". Plenty of latch and catch sets out there, but getting a 'Catch Latch Keep' on its own was very difficult indeed. Ironmongery World came up trumps and promptly delivered the required item. The gate minus had been rehung. An excellent quality item that was easily attached to one of the new gate posts enabling the gate (which was now also in position) to be latched/closed properly. Product is good but delivery took an age.

Although the latch wasn't wide enough i got it made larger locally and first lovely now.

Hopefully a better catch than the one we have and stop gate opening in the wind when unlocked.

If you use a round headed screw to secure this latch it will not allow the lever to drop, or if you push the lever into place you can't open it. Moral - use a counter sunk headed screw. It will sit slightly proud of the base plate but will work.
