Good value, well engineered, mobility a key feature.
This is a sensational tool! I am very pleased with it. I had a somewhat basic table saw for a few years which did its best (but not well) and for some time I have lusted after the fact that this table saw is supplied with a folding trolley base (I know many are but this one is price competitive). That was an important feature because my workshop is not large and my old cheap table saw had seen better days while taking up a lot of room. Well, this table saw lives up to my expectations and beyond. It is a superb piece of kit. I got it at a good price from Amazon although without realising it the model has been upgraded by Evolution to a new version though more expensive. (I might have saved harder to get the new model but I am not disappointed). So, some pointers. It is heavy. A huge box arrived that my wife and I could barely lift! The first job is to assemble the folding base - that took some doing and though in the end it is straightforward, take your time. The saw itself itself fitted to the trolley straightforwardly and after that it was good to go. I that the the supplied instruction manual is pretty poor - it looks like a low quality photocopy. Given the high safety requirements and the need to assemble the tool properly a good manual is essential. I found the PDF file on the Evolution site and printed that - it is much clearer to read and the images are sharper. It is a great machine and more than exceeds my expectations. I already have a couple of Evolution tools and I find the build quality good. This table saw is no different, and As I have noted the folding trolley is essential in my workshop. When not is use it takes up relatively little space. It is still somewhat heavy to handle but that's a good point of course because it is stable and steady when operated. I am very pleased with it. Nicely built, attachments too, and has at least one extra feature I did not expect (the sliding table panel in conjunction that be used with the mitre gauge). The table can be extended for larger work, and though I have only used that a little so far this is an excellent feature and is well engineered. The dust extraction pipe fits well (especially compared with my old saw) and with my modest dust vac copes well. Very little sawdust scattered about after use. If you are on a budget and, like me, you don't have the bench space for big tools to sit idle, I don't think you can do better than this table saw.

Very versatile and large table expansion.
Great price for a very versatile table saw, that some more expensive brands do not have. This is a well thought out and designed machine and it has a unique ability to fold up and put into a small corner of your workshop.Letβs be honest the build quality is pretty good but not top notch, very small imperfections but nothing drastic to effect you using the machine with confidence. The mitre sliding strip has a small side play of around 4 m.m. which I have fixed with a small strip of metal sticky tape (Speed tape) attached to the underside of this sliding table. To help you assemble this table saw,be sure to check out a YouTube video by Russell Plattenβ¦he is very good at the assembly. As for me I had trouble with the very last bolt to go in on the tubing,I fixed this by shaving a little bit off the plastic spacerβ¦which worked for me.When it was all finally assembled,I tried to cut a test piece of 7 ply wood.Wow ! I was so surprised how quiet the machine was,and it made a perfect cut.I also checked how level the aluminium table top was and it was perfect. Also checked and adjust the rip fence in relation to the blade disc which was spot on,and the 90 deg of the blade disc to the table which was also good.Hopefully this machine will serve me well for years to come, only time will tell about its reliability and durability. So for me I think this machine is very good value for the price, considering other more well known brands are about Β£200 more.A very useful addition to my Hobby wood working garage.Recommended to the person on a tight budget, you will not be disappointed for this price.πππ

Good and bad, mostly good.
I watched all the You Tube videos, some of which proved very optimistic and I bought it. Assembly was much easier than predicted and it is VERY easy to move around. Excellent cutting capacity but ONLY reasonable dust collection. Really does cut Alloy and Mild Steel. Fence very good in use and, provided you've set up the blade and fence for parallel to the mitre slots, gives excellent, repeatable results. Blade angle won't adjust to exactly 90 degrees but very, very close. Extending table (in both directions) VERY useful. I had to, (and you'll have to) : 1) Adjust the Mitre Guide shoe to fit the Mitre slots. To do this, use a hammer and Square face punch to (very gently) spread the lower track following faces 2) Make a Zero Clearance Insert as the standard insert is laughably wide cut so everything falls into the blade cavity 3) Resin fill the Ego-tripping "Evolution" recess in the infeed side of the table as otherwise some timber pieces WILL catch in it. This is the silliest design note I've ever encountered and 4) Cut away the bottom fill in on the Riving Knife/Safety Guard Support to make it easier to remove/install. Also check that your box contains the smaller part of the Rip Fence, mine didn't but I didn't care as I would have binned it anyway. Lastly, blade supplied is very thin and wobble noticeably in use. All in all, not perfect but very good value for money, especially for anyone who, as I have, has a space problem. If you buy it you'll enjoy it, just don't expect absolute accuracy out of the box.

Surpassed my expectations, excellent saw
Agonised over which budget table saw to buy, and after reading multiple reviews I opted for this. It arrived really well packaged, no damage as others have mentioned. A bit of a pulava putting it together but I watched a video on the evolution website which helped get the job done. I'm no expert and this is my first table saw, but having used it to build kitchen cabinets and doors, I can say it really does the job well. Cuts are precise, albeit you need to spend the time to calibrate everything, which again there is a useful video on the evolution website for. I didn't do this at first and had some not perfect cuts, so make sure you do it and save yourself the hassle. Only slight issues I'd mention are that I had to replace the riving knife bolt as I overtightened it out of the box and it burst the thread really easily. Bit of a nightmare to get it out and replace, and burst really easily. Secondly, a lot of sawdust ends up on the floor. I have a pretty good shop vac, and that doesn't stop this from happening. I will probably attempt a DIY solution going forward to stop this, but it would have been good if it was better to begin with. Third point would be that the faceplate that comes with it is plastic and bends with any pressure on it, which can lead to imperfect cuts at times. I have made my own zero clearance faceplate out of solid wood which took a bit of time and effort, but was well worth it. It would be good if evolution offered alternative products to purchase to replace the plastic one. All of that aside, the saw has more than surpassed my expectations, and I'd really recommend it to anyone else just starting out on their woodworking hobby journey, as it does everything you could need to do, and the portability is excellent if you don't yet have a dedicated woodworking shop.

Good rigid construction
Bit of a pain to assemble but once done and using YouTube video took about an hour and a half on my own once done itβs a joy to use cut through 50mm oak no problem with a good finish so cut quality is good folds up nice and compact so I can store it in the corner of my workshop noise level is okay as for durability only time will tell but given the build quality Iβm happy

Excellent bit of kit.. when you have built it.
I bought this to give me the ability to cut thicker raw oak planks than I could manage with my previous tabletop model. I'd been laughing at the idea that it would take 2 hours plus to assemble... I don't normally even need a manual.. However, the stand for this unit is quite complicated.. and I had to resort to a You Tube video as the manual is very poor. (It really did take 2 hours) Once assembled though this is a nice saw, it cuts very cleanly through wood and can be set (just) to a genuine 45 degree mitre angle (again the manual is strangely silent on how to set up the angle and set the limit screws, but it is easy to work out. ) I won't be using it for other materials so might buy the wood specific blade in due course.

Brilliant piece of kit
Unlike many other table saws, the fence is secured at both ends which allows accurate cutting without and movement between the start and end of the cut. Bit of "fun" assembling the stand ( I advise cross reference of the instruction pictures against the photos on the box), but in the end the foldaway stand works well and feels secure and steady. Motor plenty powerful enough for my needs. A great addition to my workshop. I spent a long time researching products before settling on this one and glad I made the right choice.
