baKblade 2.0 PLUS - Back Shaver for Men (DIY), Ergonomic Handle, Shave Wet or Dry (Extra Blades Included)

So far the best shaver I’ve used. I’ve been using the OmniShaver for the last few years. It worked well but had to go over my back several times and had to use shaving cream which was a pain to apply each time. The entire process took a long time and was messy. I haven’t used the BaKblad dry, used it in the shower with some soap. I gently dragged the BaKblade across my back, getting out of the shower for mirror to check process, and after a few times had the closest cleanest shave I’ve ever had. There were some red lines on my back but no cuts. I didn’t use a lot of pressure when shaving, there’s no need to. The lines went away shortly after. I used lotion after the shave as well, did not experience any irritation. Very pleased with the result! Also the original OmniShaver I purchased broke after the first year. I bought a replacement that lasted two years. That’s when I decided to try the baKblade. I haven’t owned it long but seems more sturdy than the Omni, time will tell.

Its great, clean shave only took a few mins and folded up neatly in my bathroom drawer (comes with a wall mount also)

I had been using a battery powered back shaver for years and that device was showing its age. While I liked that shaver I was interested in trying something more budget friendly. I gave this shaver a try and I am glad I did. I find it easy to use and it does a great job. I will note that I started using this shaver after having used the battery powered model to shorten my back hair so I am not sure how it would be on an initial cut for a really hairy back. Now I use it every couple of weeks to keep my back hair under control. It is easy and does the job quickly.

So at first I was kinda skeptical because I came across someone’s review along with a picture stating he had developed acne all around his back and shoulders and it did not look pleasant. But after thinking about taking the chance and finding out if perhaps it would be different for me I decided to order it and try it out. I figured if it doesn’t work out for me I’ll just stop using it and hope to send it back... but once I tried it I totally LOVED IT! The curved extended handle design works perfectly as you have to just put a very small amount of pressure on the actual handle in order for the blades can gently pull and grab the hairs closer to your skin. The directions that it came with were very clear and understandable so that’s probably one of the reasons why I’ve had success with it so far. I love how you can take off the blade/cartridge (which isn’t hard to do at all, just press down on the button on top and slide the entire 3 bladed cartridge out from the side) and use it to shave other body parts such as my chest and arms. I didn’t use it on my arms but I did use it on my chest and it worked well. It also comes with a suction cup and hook so you may have the option to hang it in the shower or the wall. Fast forward about a week later I’m noticing still no hair, and completely happy with my purchase. Sometime after (maybe another week later) I noticed dark circular marks around my back and shoulders. I was so bummed and a pretty disappointed. But I wasn’t going to give up on it whatsoever because I quickly realized something... You see I’m a gym-head and workout a lot, meaning I noticeably sweat while I’m working out, and where would be the toughest areas on your body to properly clean/scrub while in the shower? The back. And so I’ve always known that I had a tough time reaching certain areas of my back while in the shower. So I went and got myself a back scrubber and some acne face wash and started using it right away. In no time I start noticing the dark circular marks becoming lighter and smaller. And now I’m still wicked happy about my purchase! I’ve noticed others drop stars for things like this minor issue I just had. But I don’t believe it’s fair to rate the actual product on something you were at fault for, because clearly if I would have always used a back scrubber and properly wash my back as I should, then the acne wouldn’t have started. So definitely 5 full stars on this BAKblade 2.0!

This shaver DOES do what it advertises. It was very easy to use, did an amazing job. It's sturdy construction. The blade is very sharp. It was able to reach everywhere I couldn't. My problem had to do with how my skin reacted to it. Apparently the skin on my back is sensitive because after I had shaved it all down, it looked like I had radiation poisoning. Red and blotchy. I feel it did so well it shaved off my nerve senses because when I showered I couldn't feel the water hit my back. When I put a shirt on, I couldn't feel the material. But it was bald as a baby's bottom. The other issue I had was my back broke out in sores, possibly ingrown hairs. I have no clue, but they hurt. I'm not saying this is a bad product, but for me, I'm going to stick with the electric shaver. It doesn't do as well a job but there is a much less reaction. Maybe I'll keep it around to de-fuzz tennis balls.

This is one of the few products that I purchased in a long time that exceeded expectations. Any guy with a harry back knows how big of a pain it is to deal with. This thing is a total game changer! If you need something like this, get it. You won't be disappointed.

This thing is great! I was skeptical and bought a more expensive competitor on the past which was fine but this really work well! I just leave it in the shower and every week or so use it- take 2 minutes and you get the hang of it quick! Back is always hairless now!

It's super easy to use and it works surprisingly well.

Great product. Very easy to operate. I think some of the negative reviewers here may have been applying too much pressure, as I didn't have any issues with cuts or scratches. There is no need to apply any pressure at all - just run it lightly over the skin and let the blades do the work. It does say in the instructions that it is designed to work with minimal pressure. I used it dry and showered afterwards. I was a bit concerned that it would be too short - I'm quite tall at 6'7" - but I found it long enough for me. It would probably be a bit cumbersome if it was much longer. I'm not sure how long the blades will last but from what I've seen of other user reviews they last quite a while, so hopefully that will turn out to be accurate. I'm very impressed with the Bakblade 2.0 plus and would certainly recommend it if you're looking for a DIY back hair removal solution. It comes with a spare set of blades, a useful suction cup storage hanger and a cleaning brush, and also folds in half so it will be easy to pack for travelling. It also has the unexpected bonus of being a very effective back scratcher! ** TWO MONTH UPDATE ** I felt I should update my review now I've lived with the BakBlade 2.0 plus for a while. I am deducting 2 stars from my original rating to take account of the fact that the blades do not last very long. They are good for one or two shaves but after that they no longer provide a close shave and need replacing. I have used the shaver wet and dry. I will say that removing the blades after each use and cleaning them with the brush provided does seem help, and also I think the life of the blades may depend on the thickness of your back hair. The hair on my lower back is fairly light, so the blades seem to be able to deal with it for multiple shaves, but the hairs on my upper back are very thick and the blades can't cope with it after one shave. Also, I have still not had any issues with cuts and scratches, so I definitely think it's a technique issue if you're experiencing that. I have just ordered 12 replacement blades at a cost of £40 and will see how long they last. It may just be an issue with the blades that came with the shaver.

I took a chance as I was very doubtful this would work well, but it’s amazing! I never thought I could do this myself. It’s very sharp and the blades are large, so you have to go very slow and be very careful, but I’ve used it dry multiple times and have had great results with no cuts! If this is something that you struggle with I highly recommend taking a chance. It is very liberating to be able to do this myself and not have to rely on anyone. Also, I would recommend the electric shaver from Panasonic for other trimming. It’s very high quality and much better than the Phillips product. I use that on the lowest setting and I’m very happy with the clean, natural results. Combined with the product, I’m now fully sorted.

Je l'ai testé pour la première fois la semaine passée, à sec. J'y ai été calmement, lentement afin d'éviter les coupures dont certains parlent dans leur commentaires. Cela a pris du temps mais tout s'est bien passé. Mon dos est super clean. J'ai tout fait seul et demandé après à quelqu'un de vérifier et il ne restait pas de poils apparant. J'ai un grain de beauté (pas trop épais) et j'ai su passer dessus sans soucis mais j'étais super prudent. Mon seul bémol c'est qu'après je devais ramasser tout les poils :D

This is genuinely a good product. For this price you can’t get a product with this much efficiency and steel based design. The plastic and the rubber grip over it both are really good and it’s length is really handy. The blades are very effective as well, does the job in 5 mins.
