Good camera
This camera was very easy to set up. If you bought an SD card, first make sure it is one designed for a security video recording, and second, connect the lightbulb camera to your wi fi network, then install the SD micro card and attach your camera to the light fixture. If using outside, you most likely will need to buy an extender so the camera portion is not blocked by your light fixture. It does a great job of motion detection and tracking and you will only get alerts when a human body is detected, although it recognizes my SHih Tzu as a human, but Iโm sure my dog would agree. It takes good photos at night, too. You will need the cloud service to view an HD photo of the cam shot, or to remove your SD card to view it on your laptop. Otherwise the screen shots are not in HD quality. This camera works for me as I mostly just want to be alerted when someone approaches my doors, I havenโt tried the alarm feature yet, but that will be useful when away from the house. Itโs worked outside for a few weeks in rain covered under my roof. I have no idea if this will still work in frigid temperatures, but I plan to only use the camera as an indoor camera/alarm during the colder months. I am retired and home most of the time, so this is sufficient for my use. The app is easy to use and sends notifications of activity right away to my iPhone. Recommend.

Fixed and Better Than Ever!
Edit: Got the replacement! It arrived super quickly. One of the two I got had a fault, but Laview went out of their way to contact me, and remind me that their products were covered by warranty. Their customer service is above and beyond to help. I'm honestly very impressed with it so far. I'm very surprised by the quality considering the price. Being able to save everything onto an SD card is so much easier than having to save it onto my phone or risk it getting lost in the cloud. My blink camera saved me from eviction at my last apartment (the landlord was an absolute creep), but I had to waste so much space saving the videos onto my phone. These cameras are so much easier, and versatile. The image quality is the same if not better than my Blink camera, and it has motion tracking. They turn and look at you if you turn it on! It's kinda cute. The set up is easy, and includes little videos to help guide you. It's all very well done, and really helps if you are new to setting one of these up. I definitely recommend these! ~~~~ I'm really conflicted about these. The one that works is wonderful. I absolutely love it. It's got a lot of options making it very versatile and I'm so happy to find something that doesn't need an additional subscription to work. They're very sensitive to movement which is great. I appreciate that you can set them to only light up when they spot something. The set up was simple, and probably the easiest of the three brands I've used so far. These would have been a five star, hands down, if one of them hadn't died a few months after I got it. I have one in my car port which is sheltered from the elements, and the other on my front porch in a semi-enclosed light fixture. The one on the porch is protected by the fixture and overhang. It was working properly until a rather fierce storm swept through. These claimed to be safe for outdoor use, but this died immediately after the first big storm hit. It was relatively well protected form direct water exposure, so I'm extremely disappointed at how susceptible it is to moisture damage. I'm going to have to find something similar that won't die from a little moisture. EDIT: Completely forgot to check for warranty. Apparently these are protected under a year long warranty. The seller got in contact with me and is working with me to set up a replacement. It sounds like perhaps the one that broke was simply faulty. These are water proof, except the bulb connecting part. I will update again later.

Water resistant, app will show single or multi view of the same cam on your network
LaView 4MP Bulb Security Camera 2.4GHz,360ยฐ 2K Security Cameras Wireless Outdoor Indoor Full Color Day and Night, Motion Detection, Audible Alarm, Easy Installation, Compatible with Alexa (2 Pack) The two-pack of light bulb-style cameras comes economically packaged in a retail-marked light cardboard box. Inside the box, right on top, there is a user manual, a quick start guide, and the small fold-out marked" important notice ". The bulb camera itself is nestled inside a formed plastic holder. There is also a small adapter so you could plug this directly into a light socket. There's a sticker on the white socket adapter that tells you this is to help you set up the Wi-Fi. That's a nice touch and it makes sense. That way you can plug it into a socket convenient to you while you're setting it up so you don't have to stand on a ladder or something and wave your phone in front of the camera to connect it. Looking at the quick start guide, you will have to download the app before trying to set up the camera. That makes sense. They also note that this only works on 2.4 gigahertz Wi-Fi, so you'll need to be certain that your phone is said on a 2.4 GHz stream from your router. Setting up the camera is familiar to anyone that has set up a security cam before- they all seem to be set up in a similar fashion. Once you have downloaded the app and set up an account with them, you have to receive a unlock code in your email to proceed further. Further. Once you have that, it's as simple as plugging the camera into power, (this is where that handy little adapter makes it much easier) wait for the camera to initiate, then you put your Wi-Fi password in so the camera can program itself and the app will give you a QR code to show to the camera. After a moment, the camera will play a tone to notify you that it has recognized the QR code and then the app gives you a countdown. It's a 2-minute countdown, but it took less than that for the camera to initiate itself and come online. Then you can put the camera or wherever you need it to be. In our case, I plugged it in in the living room to program it and then put it out side in the lamp socket above the door. So far, I've had no glitches with the camera. It makes connections and reconnections fairly quickly, and it responds well to manual directional changes. There is a siren function to the camera, but the siren is very quiet. I tested the siren by setting it off manually when a family member was in the yard less than 100 ft from it and they said it sounded very quiet and not alarming at all. As part of the setup, you have the option to put a TF card into the camera for storage. Please note, it does not come with a TF card. You'll have to provide your own. However, the camera doesn't seem to be very picky. I put in a card that I had pulled from an older non-functioning camera, and the camera recognized it and started recording to it almost immediately. On the opposite side of the quick start guide( and keep in mind this has nine pages per side- so not really that quick) they will give you step by step on how to link your Alexa to the camera if you desire. Everything seems fairly straightforward and step by step. I'm going to hold off giving the camera my Alexa password, while I see if I'm happy with all the rest of the functions. Reading through the rest of the instructions and the quote important notice" insert, they know that the camera is not waterproof- this is even though the ads specifically say that this is an indoor-outdoor camera. The important notice goes on to say that if you use it outdoors, you'll have to ensure that the camera will not get wet in the rain. I have issues with this. I did not expect the camera to be waterproof, but I do expect it to be water-resistant. How can you sell your product as an outdoor product without it being water resistant at all? I have mind mounted outdoors, in a lamp fixture that's very similar to the one in the end. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the camera after the first rainstorm we have. As far as night vision, in complete darkness without turning the light on we can see the accustomed black-and-white night images, but they are fairly clear. Turning on the light will give you back color but you lose a little bit of the depth. Another thing I did notice that I thought was interesting. Is that turning on the light produces an audibly loud click. Hearing the click over the phone interface via the sound transmission of the camera assembly itself, it sounds quite heavy and makes a loud sound. One of the difficulties I've had with similar light bulb-style cameras is that sometimes it has difficulty making a connection. I've had this one for a couple of days now, and checking it multiple times during the day and the night. It has connected in a reasonably quick time, every time. The only difficulty I've had with the camera is the controlling software on your phone. There is a very high incidence of the software nagging you to buy the premium version and buy cloud software. In addition to the continual nagging, you have to wait several seconds to be able to dismiss the nag screen. I was seriously thinking about purchasing more of these cameras, but the nag screen is starting to make me think otherwise. **** UPDATE **** After several emails back and forth with LaView, they provided me with the instructions to shut off the push ads. Itโs buried deep in the app. Here is the path to get to the off switch. APP-> > Me page ->click on the upper right corner->Privacy Permission Settings->disable Personalization It did work to shut off most of the popups, but it took several days to stop them all. The seller has corrected part of the info in the paperwork that comes with the camera, According to their representative, the cams are rated IP65, which according to a quick Google, โAn IP65 rated enclosure gives protection against low-pressure water jets from any direction, as well as condensation and water spray. It's suitable for most outdoor enclosures that won't encounter extreme weather such as flooding.โ So water resistant, but not waterproof.

Excellent Light Bulb Camera
I bought a 2 pack of the LaView light bulb cameras recently and set them up immediately on arrival. The first camera was quick and easy to set up and I had it working in 10 minutes. The second camera was dead on arrival so rather than send them both back to Amazon since one worked perfectly I went on the app and sent a message to Laview customer service. The next day I had a message from Ariel and she was just great about getting me a replacement. Plus they sent another indoor camera for my trouble. Bottom line is that Laview stood behind their products without wavering. I also must say that Iโm just amazed at how well these light bulb cameras work. The picture quality is fantastic and they alert and record with any motion. Theyโll even track a moving object once picked up which again is unbelievable since I paid only paid just over $60 for the pair. They do a better job than my rich brother in lawโs wired camera system that he paid thousands for. The only issue I had was that the motion sensing was so powerful that it was picking up passing cars on the road in front of my house which is over 100 feet away from the camera. I solved this by changing the sensitivity level to low which stopped the recording of every car going down my road. I still pickup armadillos , rabbits, raccoons and possums if they get within 50 feet or do of the camera but Iโm ok with that as I enjoy the nature show. I bought three more so with 5 of these I monitor my entire 1 acre yard and all 4 sides of my house. I did have to add a Wi-Fi satellite to my NETGEAR router to extend the range of my Wi-Fi since some of the cameras are mounted 50 feet from my house. At this low price everyone should try these. If they last a few years itโll be the most cost effective camera system Iโve ever had.

Extremely easy to install. But (updated review and removed stars)
It works well. Just remove light bulb and twist camera in its place. It's easier to set up over other cameras. I first installed in inside lamp to set up wifi to camera then quickly unscrew camera and place outside light. This way no worries about sun reflection on cell phones making it impossible for cameras to scan QR. Negative is even with strong wifi- it doesn't always connect to app for viewing alerts or live views, as quickly as I would like. Sometimes I have to force stop the app, clear catch, before app will work. It will still record movements even if you can't get app open. Sound/ mic is delay when trying to talk to people. I love moving cameras around the house with ease. I've used regular lamps and faced camera out through windows. As well as outside lights. Update- I've used the cameras a few months now. One of the cameras has started to go on/offline daily. I have reset (by reset button) , remove camera and reinstall, turned power off for a few minutes then turn back on, and moved it directly next to router. I have contacted multiple times customer support. They only resuggest things already done. I was offered to have tec support come out but I have to live in Los Angels area (I live east coast about 3 day drive) so that offer was taken back. One tech suggest they will send a replacement camera - I would like that but no further instructions/ information has been sent to follow up replacement camera. Tech support suggest that camera is to far away from router but I have moved it closer AND if that was the problem the camera set up on other side of house wouldn't work. I'm daily sending requests for help with this camera EVERYTIME it goes off line. They just suggest things already done over and over. Meanwhile I paid for a device that only works half time or less. Stars have been removed bc of this.

great prices and easy installation
this camera works pretty well, but I have to say, the one I am replacing looks exactly like this one. I got that one from a friend as house warming gift, we used it for a year already but recently the camera got dropped on that app then the camera no longer adds back. The physical appearances between the two are highly resembled, though not identical, it was called the Hugo something, I hope this camera doesn't end up like that. Had one of these installed on my living room for a week so far works great, the SD card storage works and video quality is great, turn and rotate as it should. For this price I can't complain.

Video quality is excellent but not the best to use for an outdoor light
I really love the quality of these cameras. I like that even when zooming in, the image is clear. The app is easy to use and installation was simple. However, I do have two complaints that may be a deal breaker for me. If you turn the camera light on as you would use your porch light at night, it just looks like a camera flash or spot light rather than a porch light. It's very obviously a camera rather than a porch light. So it's a bit obnoxious and I wouldn't want it on all night. Also, there is a lag when moving the camera from the app which can be annoying. The video itself is fine, no lag. Just lags in the app when positioning the screen where you want it. It is a good quality and great deal but I need a porch light as well as a camera so I may return for that reason alone, unless I find somewhere else to put it. I would like to also mention that it comes with an outlet adapter as well so if you have outlets on the ceiling or higher on the wall, that these could work as well.

Excellent product with nice features
Had these installed for nearly 2 months now, and I've been happy with the product/purchase. Wanted to wait for a sufficient period to try/test/use it before submitting a review. Pros: -SUPERB image/video quality from dawn to dusk; image clear enough to identify the person(s) with confidence/accuracy. Excellent image/video quality at night - not as great as daytime (as expected) but the built-in light helps with quality. -Can capture/record audio/sound -Very easy to install/program. App on smartphone is very intuitive - can control camera angle with/on app. There's also a website that you can logon to view the camera(s) on your computer. -I put a memory card in the camera/light so I didn't pay for cloud storage. Don't know how far back it goes, but I can watch playback footage/recording on 01FEB2023 via the phone/app and today is 26FEB2023. Same playback option is also listed on the computer, but I haven't had much luck getting the footage (the message "get video stream" is displayed when I selected a certain date/time but no video). -Very responsive customer service via e-mail. (I prefer communication via e-mail so I didn't actually make phone calls.) Seemed attentive and caring about customer's feedback. -"Tracking" functionality is very good. It follows the person/vehicle vice having a "static"/regular camera that aims just one view/angle. Con: -camera periodically "wandered" off the desired angle/view after tracking the last motion, potentially NOT recording the actions at the area where the camera was set up to monitor. Customer Service provided guidance to update the latest software, which significantly helped with returning the camera to the view/angle intended to monitor. Perhaps a fool-proof solution would be to have a "return home" function (like a drone) where the camera automatically repositions itself to the desired view/angle when setting up the camera. Overall: very happy with the purchase and would buy again if need additional camera.

Great Camera
I am very impressed this camera. The picture is crystal clear. Installation 10/10. Connect to Alexa 10/10. It really is a walk through. Instructions clear and concise. Connecting to Alexa is a simple as can be. You won't go wrong with this camera and as I only needed one and it came in pair I now have one for a back up. Now the test will be to see how it lasts and the winter. One little caveat to my review is I wish it had a slide bar for motion detection.

Excellent Customer Service
One of our cameras stopped working and their customer service was very helpful. They walked us through some trouble shooting steps over the phone and when it was determined that the device was faulty, they replaced it with no trouble.

Don't buy this camera.
The cameras are useless now, that the app hasn't been supported for MONTHS. I have emailed and left reviews on the app for Google play. Nothing has been resolved. Don't waste your money. It was great, when the app worked but its been months that the developer knows of this issue, and nothing has came of it. Would not recommend this to anyone getting it, even if they do fix the app. They clearly don't care to fix the app, more than the fact that they just want to get paid.
