Bright, Durable, and Built for Real Use
This flashlight has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of gear. The brightness is impressive and easily lights up large areas, but it also has useful lower modes that make it practical for everyday tasks. The beam is strong and focused with excellent throw, while still providing enough spill to see whatโs around you. The build quality feels extremely solid. It has a sturdy, professional feel and the finish holds up well to regular use. The included rechargeable battery and USB-C charging are very convenient, and the battery life has been excellent so far. The controls are simple and reliable, which is exactly what you want when you need a light quickly. It works great for home use, vehicle carry, outdoor activities, or emergency situations. Overall, this is a powerful, dependable flashlight that delivers outstanding performance and durability. Definitely a great addition to any gear setup.

Surprisingly good light. Strongly recommend.
If you need a great flash light, this is it. It is expensive but you are getting an above average flashlight. If you are a hunter, I strongly recommend this light. It easily illuminates up to 100 yds. I like the size, quality, ease of use, durability, and battery life. Do recommend, would buy again.

Amazing light
Really bright light and has great battery life. I like the high and low setting because it can be too bright if youโre using it up close sometimes.

Great buy!
This high-powered Streamlight flashlight delivers an impressive beam that cuts through darkness with ease, making it ideal for both professional and outdoor use. Its rugged, durable construction feels built to last, holding up reliably in tough conditions without sacrificing performance.

Great flashlight
I really like the size of this flashlight, not too big or too small, and for 2000 lumens, it performs amazingly well. The USB-C rechargeable battery is a big plus, and it shines very brightly. The packaging also comes with clear instructions. Iโm an airline pilot, and I tested it during a nighttime aircraft walk around. It lit up everything perfectly. Highly recommended for any fellow pilot who needs a reliable, powerful light.

Super bright, rechargeable, & reliable
Awesome bright light with different brightness settings and a rechargeable battery. I'm a fireman and this light is great. A little on the bigger side compared to other helmet lights, but with the 2,000 lumens its worth it for those low light situations when I need to see what I'm doing on the job. Sometimes its even too bright and I need to dial back the brightness so I'm not blinding everyone, but I'd rather have too bright than not bright enough. I went through several other cheaper options that all melted and fell apart in fires before I committed to spending the money on this flashlight. Sometimes cheaper is more expensive, so why not spend some money on a good light that will last. The battery life has been great as well. I've only needed to charge it a couple of times this year. The times I have charged it was mostly to top off the battery after spending hours fighting a fire at night or on a bad car wreck where I needed to use my helmet light to see, so I jave yet to completely drain the battery on this light. We run Streamlights at my department, so I knew I could count on Streamlight to make a reliable flashlight. No more watching Youtube videos on various flashlight brands, makes, and models to figure out your next purchase. Streamlight has not disappointed so far.

Awesome light, but boy that price!
This flashlight is truly incredible. Very compact in size with an absolute brilliant light. Could be used to blind an attacker for enough time to get away if need be. It lights a wide swath ahead of you with a very bright beam. Love that it is re chargeable. It does get very warm if used more than several minutes at a time. Feels very substantial and well made. The price keeps me from giving it the 5th star.

Big battery and reflector head for big output
Another reviewer tried to express just how big the ProTac 2.0 is compared to Streamlightโs prior compact EDC torches. While the effort is greatly appreciated, for some reason the difference in size doesnโt fully translate. I was still surprised to see its actual size when it arrived today. Hopefully my photos, when combined with other reviews and their photos, will give you a full and complete impression of its actual size, eliminating any surprises. Torches, from top to bottom: ProTac 90, ProTac 2L, ProTac 2L-X, ProTac HL-X, Sidewinder Aviator, ProTac 2.0 (new). Batteries, from top to bottom: CR123, AAA, AA, 18650, SL-B50 (new, for ProTac 2.0). Last photo: ProTac HL-X on the left, ProTac 2.0 on the right. The ProTac 2.0 is equal to, or larger, in every dimension compared to the ProTac HL-X (mine is a 2-cell version). As for the torch itself, I canโt speak to its objective brightness but itโs clearly brighter than all of my other Streamlights. Itโs easily bright enough to cause momentary blindness even on a sunny day, giving you one more weapon to use for escape or evasion. The build quality is exactly what youโd expect from Streamlight and it has TenTap programming to customize the activation order. My purchase was for the retail, boxed version that included just the torch, battery, USB-C charging cable and nylon belt pouch. Clearly, Streamlight cares about the total ownership experience, as they built their batteries with USB-C ports rather than MicroUSB. Lesser brands often use the latter to save a nickel, forcing you to carry a MicroUSB cable despite all of your stuff using USB-C for the past 5 years. As for the size, it wonโt be everyoneโs cup of tea as it outsizes even the HL-X. If that sounds like your situation, but would rather not compromise on brightness, Streamlight offers the 1800 lumen MegaStream to top out their MicroStream and MacroStream lineup. You may have to compromise a little on the beam width and distance, due to the MegaStreamโs smaller head and reflector, but its total brightness and output should be a very close second to the ProTac 2.0 in performance while being a more familiar size thatโs easier to pocket. I hope this helps those on the fence because of its size.

Expensive but BRIGHT
One thing I love about this flashlight are the 3 separate modes you're able to use when turning on the flashlight. - High - Strobe - Low In my profession, I mostly ever use high. However, the other options are great. This flashlight does have the tendency to get hot quickly so be mindful when operating. It is a re-chargeable USB-C battery that appears to be custom made, so if it ever loses its ability to hold charge you'll likely have to order another through Streamlight.

Outstanding Value For Money!
Surefire has been my โgo toโ for decades. When both failed it was time for a new purchase. Streamlight have a solid 50 year reputation for making robust, quality equipment. The price of Surefires nowadays is simply astronomical and this great torch was a clear winner. Very happy with this purchase.

It's just okay. Added grip tape.
I most like the long battery life and the size. I'm glad they still use a crystal lens instead of plastic. I'm happy that it uses USB like most of my other devices. I don't like that the charging port cover isn't more secure. Other brands have a screw closed port that is much better. Also, the charging port it just the one on the battery. Streamlight just left a hole in the side of the flashlight barrel and then put a cheap sliding cover over it. Weird. If water gets in, it would go directly into the battery compartment. Also perhaps, because the usb c port is the one on the battery itself, it lacks the internal equipment for any sort of fast charge..it takes just over 6 hours to charge this light and that doesn't seem to change when using a fast charger. I really don't like that hole they left leading to the battery charging port. On previous models there were internal charging circuits independent of the convenient direct to battery charging port. The internals were much safer from exposure to the elements. They send to have combined four LEDs rather than using one superior one. It only has so-so better life from the annoying proprietary battery that is over $50 Canadian to replace. There are batteries that are more readily available that are also superior to this one at a much lower price. Streamlight wants you to have to buy any extras or replacements from them. The beam is very wide. A flood, I'd say. The 2000 don't seem as bright as they should as a result. Fit also drops down from that maximum very quickly. It comes with a pocket clip and a holster that is also fine. I use this light working security and I find the included holster is good enough to not motivate me to buy a nicer one. I like it enough. The tail switch is too recessed. You have to use it to see what I mean the protac hl-usb has the perfect tail switch, in my opinion, to compare. Anyway.... For the price.... It's just okay. If you want something from streamlight specifically that offers usb charging and decent bettery life... This is good enough. But not at the price. The flashlight is smooth and offers very little grip..so little that it slides in my hand when I operate the switch. Especially when I'm wearing gloves. The threads for the tailswitch are shallow and not long enough. I put grip tape, like for making stairs safer from slipping on, around it. That fixed that.. I'll post pictures. The charging port still opened perfectly. I'd recommend the HL-X over this light. The hl-x uses inexpensive 18640 batteries that are easy to find. The HL-X so allows for the use of cr123 batteries in a pinch, which I like. It is also a better size to carry, less expensive, has a way higher peak candela, despite its max lumens being half the protac 2.0. it's also fully sealed from the elements.... No external charging port. The threads are also deeper and there are more of them. It's really a better light. Pocket clip that works.either direction and a better tailswitch. Even the grip is good.
