Viewed the YouTube video showing the install. It went exactly as demonstrated. Slipped in easily, and no leaks. Works perfectly

Easy to install, but you need the right tools ⛏️
I've bought several of these over the years to replace the cartridges in a variety of Moen faucets in my house. They work just like the originals, but you need to be careful during removal and installation. For the first one I replaced, I did not have the tool shown in the picture (Moen 14272 Cartridge Retainer Removal Tool for 2 Handle Cartridge), so I used needle-nose pliers to twist out the lock ring that holds the cartridge in place. This worked, but it's tough to tighten the lock ring properly, and it took several adjustments to get it to work smoothly. With the proper tools, this is a very easy removal and installation that most DIYers can handle. A couple of notes: 1️⃣ Turn off the water at the shut-off valve; you cannot replace this with the water on. 2️⃣ Use a Rubber Strap Wrench to remove the sink handle to avoid scratching the fixture. I tried wrapping the handle with painter's tape and using a regular wrench, but it damaged the handle. Don't do this. 3️⃣ Use the Cartridge Retainer Removal Tool to remove the nut that locks the cartridge in place. 4️⃣ Pull the existing cartridge out with needle-nose pliers (I think there is a tool for this as well, but I've never used it). There is a cap (either blue or red) that needs to be removed and reused. 5️⃣ Reverse the steps to install the new cartridge, but don't over-tighten the cartridge. Overall, this was a great purchase and value, especially compared to paying a plumber to replace this.

exact replacement, Easy process
manufacturer OEM replacement. Fit perfectly and only took about 10 minutes overall. Hardest part was getting the old cartridge out of the fixture, but just some leverage and patience. No more drip!

The MOEN Quality is top-notch!
The MOEN brand faucet cartridges are the best quality in my many years of experience. The first MOEN cartridges that came with the MOEN faucet that I bought back in Dec 1998--I keep detailed records--lasted 23 years before finally needing replacement. In June 2022 I replaced the H and C cartridges with non-OEM brand carts and the Hot one only lasted 3.5 years. I knew then that I need to replace it with a genuine MOEN cartridge so that's what I bought because the quality is unmatched by competitors although you pay more for the MOEN ones. It's worth the extra money in the long term! Two notes: 1. Follow directions. 2. Use a bit of silicone lubricant on the two O-rings before installing.
