Excellent product
We bought this for my son's 7th birthday. He absolutely loves it! It is perfect for a lot of ages - including our 8 year old and 4 year old. With one pack, you can make good sized dens that they all fit into afterwards. We tore up an old bed sheet to cover it up with which works perfectly as it's not too heavy on the frame. The poles are quite flimsy but we have just told our kids not to stand on any along the bottom of the den walls or entrance ways and so far, nothing has broken - it is early days though. I can see buying another box of these would make it even more fun as dens would be bigger. But, as this set comes, it is endless fun on rainy days and all of them can join in and fit in. An excellent item which I would recommend to friends!

Nice idea
This product is a nice idea but required a lot of adult intervention with a 3 year old and 6 year old. Value for money seemed high with initial engagement but in the long term not so much as the kids are back to using chairs and furniture and sheets to build dens at home rather than make flimsy designs with this they are too big to fit in.

What a fabulous toy - gets the kids off the iPad to do some 'proper' playing
Initially I bought this as I'm a teacher and felt it would make a great addition to my 'construction area' in my classroom. When I received it, I was delighted that my 9 and 7 year old children asked if they could give it a go themselves before I brought it into school. Myself, husband and kids all chipped in to build a 'giant' den and we had great fun in the process, throwing bed sheets over it once completed. It definitely encourages creativity, problem solving skills as well as working co-operatively. So far my own children have had so many hours of fun with it, I will definitely buy another one for school and probably even another for home, to extend our current pack and allow us to make even bigger dens. I can't rate this product enough - exactly the kind of educational, fun, physical and social 'toy' that every child should have. Regrettably, I did NOT receive any kind of discount or free product to review this ! This review genuinely comes from the heart!

Good quality product
Having looked at similar items I chose this product based on reviews. Showing the importance of a review as this product was worth spending the extra money on. The quality is good, easy to build and the instructions fairly easy to follow. My teenagers have built a couple of the more complicated designs for their little brother, and found it quite easy to do. With a second kit the options for new designed forts are endless. We bought an Amazon Basics Black Flat Sheet to throw over and out little loves going inside with a torch and some of his toy cars. Can’t wait till the summer when it can be built up in the garden as it takes up a good chunk of our lounge. Fully recommend the seller as well. Went well above and beyond to help us with an issue.

No packaging so arrives in bad condition for a gift
The product is good but it was posted without packaging and impossible to remove postage stickers cleanly. The box has marks all over it. This was a gift, disappointing.

Good gift
Great fun for children, but you need more pieces to build anything significant. I bought a second box for my grandsons birthday and now he can build a sizeable house

Lots of fun and allows imaginative but buy two if you want to build the bigger items in the plans or you will come up short.

So now I see the importance of reviews here on Amazon. The negative reviews on this product nearly made me decide to not order this for my little girl. I eventually did after going back and forth so I decided I am going to address some of the negative comments in my review so that others can take some comfort in their decision if they decide to order this. Negative #1 - The structure is not strong enough. Response #1 - The structure if built correctly is plenty strong enough. It can easily support the recommended bed sheet and in fact can support heavier fleece blankets as I have done this. This is a toy fort building kit so being realistic will help it is meant for sitting in NOT sitting on. Negative #2 - The sticks do not hold well. Response #2 - My experience is that the sticks hold just fine. This is a kit that is akin to Lego blocks and what not. Meaning they are meant to be taken apart and rebuilt to form different structures. So there is a fine line between having the sticks hold so well that they won't come apart and having them so loose they won't stay together. I think they hit the fit pretty well. Negative #3 - It takes to long to build the structures. Response #3 - I can't believe this is a common complaint but I guess it depends on the user. It took me less than 20 mins to build the Igloo structure and that was with my 3 year old "helping". Also this is a toy that is meant to be taken apart and built into different structures so building time is also play time. Negative #4 - There are not enough items to build the included instructional structures. Response #4 - This is just wrong unless you received a box missing pieces. There are 4 included instructions for structures and all 4 can be made with the included set. There is a 5th instruction included that clearly states it requires 2 sets. Negative # 5 - Hard for children to put together. Response #5 - I fully agree with this one, especially for young children. However it does make for some good parent child play time. I found building these things to be a little more interesting than playing with dolls. Not that there's anything wrong with that. LOL. But my 3 year old also had lots of fun helping me build these structures so its a fun experience to do together. Win-Win. Negative #6 - The sheet does not fit the structure. Response # 6 - Of course it doesn't. I'm in my 30s and when I was young we used to build forts the old fashioned way. A few kitchen chairs, maybe near a dresser and then a couple bed sheets. The sheets didn't fit that either. LOL. This is just 21st century fort building for kids and with a big enough sheet, maybe king size or with 2 sheets you can effectively close in the structure. I am not sure if I left anything out but feel free to ask questions and I will respond. I know reading this review it would be easy to think I am in some way affiliated with the maker of this product but I can assure you that I am 110% not in any way connected to this product other than buying it and playing with it with my little girl. I felt I should write this review as there maybe others on the fence based on the negative reviews. I don't want to belittle others experiences, I am sure their negative experience are rooted in fact but it was my experience if you take the time to clearly read the instructions and follow them to the letter then the finished product is a good solid structure that can make for hours of playtime for your kids especially if they like to hide under blankets as most kids do.
