Opened mine today to find mold on the butter - has anyone else had this problem?

I've had mine for over 2 years and never had mold on my butter. I did, one time, spot mold on the outside of the butter container but it I feel it was my fault for not changing the water as instructed. I usually change the water (tap water) every 2-3 days, and I wipe the outside of the butter container at the same time I change the water.

Will whipped butter be too light and fall into the water?

No, because you pack the butter in the bell which ensures no air bubbles! Whipped butter will stay in the bell just like regular butter.

What did I do wrong??? My butter fell into the water when I served it...

you need to really make the butter tight in the container. so usually I press my hands on the butter and I also fill it to the top and then press it down to pack it.

I am experiencing mold growth on the inside of mine...is anyone else having this issue?

Mine is just fine...I live in California and the weather is warm then it's cold...In the instructions, it says to change the water every 3 days...so i clean the container and add fresh water every 3-4 days and that keeps the mold from growing...hope this idea works for you...
