Makes My Life So Much Easier
Very sturdy, very well made stool that makes my life easier in the kitchen, as it can be set st a height high enough for me to comfortably prepare foods on my kitchen counter while sitting. I’ve had spinal surgery and suffer from arthritis and stenosis and cannot stand for very long. The only thing I wish it had is a footrest bar in front so I don’t have to keep my legs straight down touching the floor

Excellent quality & the best deal for your money, highly recommended.
This is the best quality item I ever bought from Amazon, the item package is very good to protect from any impact or dropping accidentally, the assembly is not that hard because no instructions inside the carton, it is not aluminum but all steel, it is strong & no any sharp metals was noticed, polishing is very good, I strongly recommend this chair, if you have a senior at home & need a sturdy & safe chair for daily use. AAAAA review.

Sturdy durable high raised chair with arms great for seniors
Great chair for people with disabilities getting out of chairs. I bought this for my 88 yr old mother for her kitchen table chair. It's height is adjustable so it allows her to get up easily. It's sturdy and has arms to each side that are adjustable, width wise as well. The seat is vinyl with nice padding. The seat has a slight forward slant to allow for ease of getting up. It's very durable and steady with rubber feet to prevent sliding away. This could also be used in a shower. The adjustments can go as low as a regular kitchen chair or up for a tall man of 6ft or better. It does not have suction cups on the feet so if used in the shower check for sliding before that kind of use. Great for seniors highly recommend.

Drive Medical Kitchen Stool
Bought 2 of these to use as kitchen chairs, because my elderly, handicapped brother has trouble getting up from standard-height seating. (I also purchased these Home-it 5 to 6-inch White Bed Riser ,4-pack to raise the table as well). These chairs are sturdy-enough and light-weight, they're easy to keep clean, and assembly was quick and easy for me. Wish list: After using these chairs daily for over two months, I can say that I wish the armrests were padded or at least slip-resistant. I also wish the vinyl(?)-covered cushions didn't make such a loud 'whoosh' whenever you sit on them, and finally, I wish they'd soldered the crossbar just below the bottom adjustment-holes on the legs, so it could also be used as a footrest, or at least supplied a sling of some sort to hook into unused adjustment-holes (something I plan to finagle myself one of these days). Even though the seat is angled somewhat for comfort, extended use definitely requires some kind of footrest to prevent back-of-thigh discomfort, even on the lowest setting (unless you have very long legs, of course. 'My' chair is set to the next-to-lowest height, and I have a 32" inseam, but my heels don't reach the floor). My brother wishes they were easier to 'scooch up' towards the table after he sits, they don't slide at all with any weight on them, but I see that as a safety feature, myself.

Great for tall people with mobility challenges
My husband is 6'3" and has advanced Parkinson's. He can stand with assistance but has severe balance issues. We have this chair adjusted to the tallest setting and it has been helpful in many ways. He places it in front of the bathroom sink and it allows him to sit and clean up without worry of falling backward, while still being high enough that he can lean over the sink. When I help him get dressed, he can sit in the chair while I help him dress and then easily use a grab bar to stand. The high, slanted seat makes it much easier for him to stand and much easier for me to help him. It has also made cutting his hair and shaving him easier for me. A word of caution - this chair is as sturdy as possible for a chair of this height, but if the person using it puts all their weight on one of the arms, it will tip to the side. I try to move it next to a grab bar and have him use the grab bar when sitting down or rising from the chair. And I would never let him use it without supervision. A fall from the height of this chair would be dangerous. It feels very sturdy to me, but my husband is average weight. I'm not sure how sturdy it would feel to a heavier person. I also thought it was fairly easy to assemble. It came with good instructions and they were also available online in the event that they were missing. I was able to assemble it quickly, by myself, with no problems. In navigating our world of increasing mobility issues, the right equipment can make all the difference. This chair is fairly priced and has been a very worthwhile investment.

Great Stool But...
I agree with Jack. The holes are out of alignment. However one thing I learned a long time ago is not to tighten screws and nuts until all of them have been inserted into the holes. This allows wiggle room for holes that don't quite match up. I had a tough time getting the screws into the seat. But a lot of pounding, a few bad words, they finally went in. But as Jack said you should not have to go through this. I like the stool. I am only 5'7'' so I was able to adjust the stool so my feet touched the floor. One thing I wish they would have included was another rung on the bottom to rest you feet on if so desired. But no deal breaker. The bottom line is this. If it weren't for the out of alignment screw holes I would have given it a 5. But thanks Jack for your warning about the screw holes. I was prepared for battle! Update: Having the chair for about a week I noticed that the metal plating on the arm was peeling away. The peeling plating actually cut my finger. The plating continues to peel so I had to cover the arm with Duck Tape. Very fashionable! I have other Drive medical products and have found them to be well built and a solid value. But this stool is not one of them. Come Drive you're better than this.

Easy to assemble and very comfortable. I was told the trick to using this chair is to open the cupboard door under the sink and use it as a footrest. That allows you to be closer to the counter when you are working. Great idea. I only removed one star because if you lift yourself on only one of the armrests, it tips. Always use both and you will be fine.

Depuis mes maux de dos j’avais de la misère à rester debout pour me faire sécher les cheveux. C’est un petit bijoux que je me suis offert. Je suis en amour avec !!
