Applies easily and does not stain the skin. However, it does stain if get on any bathroom furniture or the sink. So make sure you apply it softly and not with the accompanying brush. Disposable gloves work best for application directly.. Does cause a bit burning sensation so I keep it strictly for 10 mins and wash it off. As far as coloring does 10 mins is not enough to completely dye all greys to black and does cover 80% of hair.

I dont write much reviews unless I'm very impressed.. The picture on the box of this always put me off as it looks like a retro commercial, ad & never bothered to try it until now. And WOW I'm impressed.. Biggens is way way better than Just for Men. I've been using Just for Men for the last 3 years & it always stains my skin which makes my beard look fake like I used a black felt tip pen. But Biggens does not stain the skin & looks so natural. You dont need to be precise as to not to get it on the skin. You can just put it on all over beard & wait 10-15mins, wash & its all done. It is so much better, Im so glad I tried this cos I'll never go back to Just for Men. Highly recommended or at least give it a try, you wont be disappointed..

I was playing the part of the baddie in a pantomime so I used this to dye my new (rather ginger and grey) beard black. I was going to shave it off when done anyway, so was happy to use a permanent dye (temporary dyes apparently are rather messy). It was easy to apply (as described by the product) and created a nice even shade of black. It did stain my neck where I missed the beard, but that washed off easily enough with washing up liquid (look on WikiHow for half a dozen suggestions - I tried the first and it worked well). I can't comment on how long this would last as I only used it for 3 days.

Black means black. Got this thinking it would be closer to dark brown but it was definitely... black. First time it was all well. Second time I tried to economise and had to have another go at some areas, meant re-mixing 3 lots of the stuff. The good thing is that you can ix as much or as little as you want each time, so it's quite economical if you don't have a massive beard (mine's just a goatee). IN the end you need to get a fair coating on the hair and I leave it 15 minutes not the 10 minutes they recommend. Very slight redness of the skill, a bit itchy for a few hours but it's under a black beard, so - not noticeable anyway :) And I always get a bit itchy from any product I've tried - it's only a very minor thing at worst and probably partly psychological. I was also worried about having dye products right under my nose (PPDs etc?) having developed a problem previously with another hair product, but this was fine from that viewpoint too. However - it's all down to the individual so please don;t take that as a guarantee that it will be ok for you!
