You know the TV episode 'triggers broom' well there are times that the oven can feel a bit like that. Sadly my oven is not that old, so replacement parts like these essential and I'm pleased that they are so readily available. I've dropped on star, maybe a bit harshly, as the parts never last as long as I would hope. I seem to have to replace them every two years or so. There is a 5* in the offing if this lasts longer than most. Time will tell.

Bought in an attempt to fix my mum's burnt-out oven. Matched it to the specs on the old element, and by comparing the old one with the product photos. Pay close attention to the contacts, there are two or three different types and you have to get the right ones. Everything lined up perfectly with the existing screw holes etc. So far it's worked like a charm, but I thought at first my efforts were in vain, nothing happened when I tried to switch the oven on. Even the light didn't work. By coincidence I was fiddling with the cooker's clock, and when I'd finished pressing buttons it worked, so bear this in mind if you have a similar experience. You may need to reset something if the old element shorted out, which is what happened in my case.
