Nikon Action EX 12x50 CF Binocular

When choosing a pair of binoculars there is a compromise between magnification, weight and of course price. The Nikon Action EX 12x50 CF hits the sweet spot perfectly, by giving ample magnification without being too heavy or too expensive. These binoculars come in a rugged rubberized body and most importantly have the excellent optics that one would expect from Nikon. The focus of the right eyepiece is independently adjustable allowing for users to correct for when their left/right vision is different. All in all these are great binoculars, the clarity is amazing and the central focus wheel offers very accurate control. There are two minor negatives to point out: first, neither the lens caps nor the eyepiece cover at attached to the body (but can be clipped to the strap); second there is no strap for the bag.

I have an old pair of Carl Zeiss binoculars and I thought they were pretty good but I decided to replace them. I opted for these binoculars and I am not disappointed. The optics are excellent, the view is so clear and bright you can see amazing detail (have been watching the garden birds) with the extra magnification. I was unsure if the greater magnification would cause more shake when viewing but it hasn't so very pleased. I also saw some reviews that mentioned the diopter adjustment button was very stiff but there is a button diagonally opposite each side of the eye piece and adjusting this is easy and very smooth. All in all it feels like a quality bit of kit. I'm very pleased with them. I've not used them for astronomy yet as the skies have not been favourable but I have high hopes. The only gripe was the delivery, the binoculars come in the flimsy box they are originally put in, no protection at all and everyone can see what the product is! The box was trashed when it got to me but fortunately there was no damage to the binoculars. Shame Amazon didn't put it in their usual cardboard box.

As you can see from my title I am an aircraft enthusiast,mainly WW II types particualy Spitfires,Hurricanes and The Lancaster but also 1960's era .We have a holiday home in Chichester and during the Goodwood Revivel this year I was treated to 3 Spitfires and the Lancaster nearly took our roof off,what a fantastic SIGHT and SOUND.I could also watch other aircraft over Goodwood with these FANTASTIC! binoculars,the images are so clear with Nikon's superb optics and with 12 times magnification it is possible to see fine detail. I should just say Goodwood is about 2 miles away,about 10 seconds by jet.The binoculars are very comfortable to hold,not too heavy,not too light,and the ruberised surface allows a secure grip.I am very happy with my purchase,and can certainly recommend them.

I have bought a number of less expensive binoculars previously and I guess that the old saying of getting what you pay for holds true. These were maybe 2 to 3 times the cost of a cheap set but you can see the difference with much clearer, sharper images. I bought these from Warehouse Deals and the only issue was the neck strap was missing (but I am happy to recycle one from another set). Overall I am very happy with the purchase, the cost via Warehouse Deals and the Binoculars are exactly as described.

Good quality optics, highly recommend. But Amazon really need to step up on protective packaging. Sending the binoculars in just the Nikon box is just suitable. Should have been in a box with protective packaging. It's amazing it wasn't damaged. But the binoculars are awesome.

After trying a few pairs these were the best, good quality very sharp. I use for plane spotting when not at home using my scope, a little heavy but excellent binocs for the money came with a nice strap not like some others I tried, overall I am happy with my purchase.

I bought these for astronomy and are great quality for the price if a little on the heavy side.

I hesitated for weeks before buying, unsure about about paying this much. I have owned or borrowed many pairs of binoculars in my life, including well-known brands, and always been disappointed by mediocre performance. However, I use Nikon camera gear and and have come to know the high quality that comes with this name, so I took the plunge - and was not disappointed! These were a revelation - finally, I have the bright, clean, pin-sharp image I have dreamt of for DECADES.

Wirklich sehr gutes Fernglas für meine Zwecke!! Es hat das Vorherige abgelöst und ist um Längen besser. Das Bild ist klar, man kann gut die Einstellungen (Schärfe usw.) ändern, ich bin voll zurfrieden. Wir beobachten gerne die Vögel und das sonstige Getier im Garten, und nehmen das Fernglas auch mit in den Urlaub. Super Teil!

El producto es justo lo que esperas, buena calidad, el desempeño es más de lo que esperaba, el Empaque llego un poco maltratado pero el producto no tenía ningún problema, los recomiendo para un trípode, aunque si ya estás acostumbrado al uso de binoculares no será GSB necesario

Al fin encontré los prismáticos que estaba buscado. Construcción robusta y de calidad, se ajusta bien a las manos y el material permite un agarre firme. La correa de estos prismáticos es más ancha que la que acompaña a otras marcas. Los bordes de los oculares son retraibles mediante un sistema de rosca para las personas que necesitan observar con gafas. El "eye relief" de los Nikon 12x50 es de 16,1 mm lo que permite mucha comodidad en la observación y que el campo de los prismáticos llene nuestra visión. Buscaba una calidad óptica en condiciones para observación astronómica y al fin la he encontrado después de probar varias marcas y modelos llegando hasta el rango de precios de estos Nikon. Ningún otro que he probado se le acerca. Los Nikon no muestran ninguna aberración esférica, una aberración cromática mínima y una nitidez perfecta en el centro que llega hasta un 80% del total del campo de observación, lo cual está muy bien. Ningún prismático ofrece nitidez en todo el campo de visión. Los objetivos son lentes asféricas con un tratamiento multicapa completo que consigue una imagen muy correcta. La rueda de enfoque tiene un movimiento muy suave y permite afinar el enfoque con precisión. Los prismáticos son estancos y rellenos de nitrógeno lo que los hace ideales también para climas fríos y húmedos. Los Nikon 12x50 ya son prismáticos pesados (aproximadamente 1070 g con las tapas puestas) lo que unido a sus grandes aumentos hace necesario utilizarlos con un trípode para que no vibre demasiado la imagen. De noche con un buen trípode se puede disfrutar mucho de estos prismáticos y sacarle todo el jugo a la jornada astronómica. La funda que acompaña a los prismáticos está acolchada en su interior y tiene cierre de velcro. Dentro de la caja además se encuentra un manual de instrucciones en varios idiomas y la hoja de la garantía de 10 años de Nikon. Parece que este fabricante cuida los detalles. Otras marcas en este mismo rango de precio no incluyen ningún documento ni hoja de garantía con sus prismáticos. Conclusión: Prismáticos ideales para observación de fauna y observación astronómica. Recordad que el mejor rendimiento se sacará con un trípode. Es la mejor calidad óptica que he encontrado en este rango de precios.

Ho preso questo binocolo per fare veloci spazzolate al cielo stellato senza dover usare il treppiede. Però solo per poco tempo in quanto un po pesante e con la messa a fuoco un po dura. Comunque il binocolo è luminoso e permette buone osservazioni anche con gli occhiali indossati. I tappi delle lenti sembrano fatti apposta per essere persi. Nel complesso un buon binocolo per il suo prezzo. Lo ricomprerei.
