I love this light for crosstitch and arts and crafts. It hooks to my side table. Powerful small light with good length on neck. Affordable and effective.

This is a very nice light. I am legally blind, so it's hard to see most keyboards, UNTIL I found a keyboard with white keys and LARGE Black letters and THIS little light. It has a very nice metal clamp that I clamp to my monitor. The lights brightness is fully adjustable and you can position it anywhere you desire so it lights the keyboard and it's also out of your way. It also has a USB plug with a nice long cord.

I bought this clip on light for my night diaper changing table, and I like it for the most part. It is easy to use and adjust, and it has three brightness levels and two color modes. It is powered by a USB cable, and it has a long battery life. The light is bright and soft, and it does not disturb my baby or my partner when I change the diapers at night. The clip is strong and stable, and it can attach to any surface. However, the one thing that I don’t like about this product is that the arm is not very sturdy. It is made of a flexible metal, and it tends to sag and bend over time. Sometimes, the light falls off or points in the wrong direction, and I have to fix it constantly. I wish the arm was more rigid and durable, and that it could hold the light in place better. Overall, I think this product is good for the price, and it serves its purpose well. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a clip on light for reading or other tasks, but I would also warn them about the arm issue. I give this product three stars out of five, and I hope the manufacturer can improve the quality of the arm.

Oh, you betcha! It practically sets itself up while you sit back and enjoy your favorite snack. And let's talk about the light it emits. It's brighter than my future, I tell you! This bad boy will light up your reading material like it's auditioning for a Broadway show. Now, onto the cons. While this lamp is dimmable, I sometimes feel like it's stuck in a perpetual "not dim enough" limbo. I mean, come on, I don't want to feel like I'm being interrogated by a spotlight while reading my cozy mystery novel. And guess what? It didn't even come with an AC adapter. Nope, just a good ol' USB. I guess my lamp is a tech-savvy minimalist, but I miss the convenience of plugging it straight into the wall. But let me tell you, my kids are absolutely smitten with this lamp. I had to buy not one, but two of them because they couldn't bear the thought of sharing. Now they can read their favorite bedtime stories without having to use my cell phone as a makeshift flashlight or deal with the annoyance of holding an actual flashlight. It's like a magical reading companion that never complains or runs out of batteries. So, despite its quirks, the JHD Desk Lamp has earned its spot as a cherished member of our family. It's a bright, reliable buddy that illuminates our nights and brings a touch of adventure to our reading escapades. Came loosely packaged and no damage noticed. Clamp is very sturdy and non-slip is of good quality. The overall feel is heavy duty. Neck is sturdy and holds its place well. Plugged unit up and was happy with brightness and the ability to dim. The usb plug seems very cheap and wire less than the sturdiness I would expect. Turned unit on and down to lowest setting on my desk beside me. Its life was going to be a reading light. It did not last an hour until it started flickering and within a minute went completely out. Tried a different usb power supply and unit flickers after turning on then goes out. Tried another and same. The unit IS NOT worth the trouble.

The desk lamp is bright on its highest setting and substantially dimmer on its lowest setting, so that works well. As the seller has mentioned, the neck has been improved and is now more than capable of holding position, and the clamp is definitely strong, both pluses. However, the clamp may be a bit more than smaller hands care to try to squeeze, so be aware of that. But the biggest drawback is the switch. The first problem is that it's a long way down on the cord, much closer to the USB plug than to the lamp itself (see pic), so if you're planning on using this on the headboard of your bed for a reading light as I was planning, you're going to find yourself getting out of bed to turn the thing on and off. I ended up adding a USB extension cord to bring the switch to the headboard, then tucking all the excess cord from the switch to the lamp behind the headboard. That works, but it's a kluge. The second issue is the switch has a BRIGHT blue light when in the off position, which is not a good thing if you're trying to sleep after turning it off. I ended up putting a piece of black electrical tape over the light, and that worked fairly well, but the blue light still shines through around the power switch and the dimming switch. The intensity is substantially less and will work for me, but if you're very sensitive to small lights on your headboard when sleeping, or you don't want to fiddle with electrical tape, this might be an issue. If you're not using this for a reading light in bed then all of this may not matter as much, though it still baffles me as to why the switch would be placed so far from the lamp. That would seem to be an inconvenience in just about any situation.

Does exactly what you need it to. Much brighter than I expected. I use it on my headboard to read when my wife is sleeping, or when I need to do some precise work that requires a light, light when I am working on electronics. Plugs in with a usb - three brightness options for the light. Super easy to use, reasonable size, I like it a lot. Definitely gets the job done. I also can hook it up to a portable battery and use it on my camping kitchen.
