Camera is good enough, doesnโt go around corners to well in 3โ pipe. The cable is stiff but not stiff enough for that. Best suited for long straight runs. Super easy to use. For my purpose, I would still buy another one if needed.

This camera really worked great in a pinch!
I needed to feed a wire through rafters separating my 1st and 2nd floor. I had tried for several hours to get a snake through but knew there was something blocking the way, but that the something couldn't be blocking the entire way since a drain pipe also ran along this length. After screaming for several hours, I went to the internet to tell me what to do. I figured I needed a camera snake, but not sure which one to buy. After another couple of hours, I landed on this one. What stood out to me was the size of the screen and that it had a handle and not just something like a phone to hold onto. Boy this thing worked like a champ. Not only was the picture clear, it was able to snake the 16 or so feet over the spacers that my other snakes couldn't. The soft metal spine is easy enough to bend, but strong enough to stay straight when it should. The hook attachment was another life saver because I was able to attach the wire to it instead of using yet another tool - this did it all. So not only did it save my sanity in getting a wire run, I know it will come in handy in the future as I've always wanted something like this to look into hard to reach places (in the attic, in the engine bay, where does that random pipe run? etc). Overall I'm very happy with it, would buy it again. It sits in a special spot in my bedroom (mostly because I've procrastinated in putting it away for the past 2 months).

OK but not great
Works as described, but in dark places, it must be very close to the object being viewed or all you will see is blackness. The more light, the better it works. In darkness, it's rather myopic. Also, it may work well in confined spaces, like a small diameter pipe, but if trying to explore larger spaces, it is almost impossible to guide accurately and effectively. For instance, I was using it to try to look for something between ceiling joists. The joists were 16 inches apart and the space between floor and ceiling was 12 inches. I could not get it to go where I wanted in this relatively large, unconfined area (16 inch x 12 inch x 10 feet). It just kind of went wherever it wanted. I'm not sure there's any way to prevent this. It's just a natural limitation to the product's usefulness.
