Authentic Panettone in Tin (Original)

Love that we can get these on-line now. Proper Italian Panettone. My Italian friend from Milan is impressed we can get them here. Okay, you will pay a bit more for this in the tin, than you would from a bakery in Milan (Italy). Yet, buying here is cheaper than going to Italy. I have tried supermarket versions and they are nice, but the drier fruit and texture is nicer in this version. Yes, its more money but if you price it against one in a cardboardbox when its on offer, there isn't much difference in price and you get a nice tin. Tins: Some Panettone tins have a hole in the side for a handle, but the product is always well wrapped and sealed. These make great storage for kitchen or garden shed. You could clean them out and use them for statement storage. Could use as a planter, but they are metal and will corrode. I often use them as an alternative to gift wrap for transporting home made churtneys, soaps, etc. Tin is recycled at Metal waste.

This panettone is really delicious either spread with butter or makes lovely toast for breakfast. It was generously large in a lovely red tin and delivered next day. I can thoroughly recommend it as it has to be an authentic Italian panettone as it is the best I’ve tasted.

Third one I have bought in the last five years. First one was amazing, probably the best I'd had: moist, flavoursome, and rich in fruit. The second was utterly disappointing, dry and with hardly any fruit (so it ended up in a bread and butter pudding). This one is good, moist, with a nicely flavoured dough, although it could have done with more fruit and slightly more cooking. The inconsistency in quality is quite disappointing from such a historical and well respected brand (think Amaretti biscuits). P.s. In reply to the "gentleman" who arrogantly questioned the competence or truthfulness of people who found this panettone dry: I am from near Milan, so have been eating panettone all my life, used to be a chef (so I can discern good and less good food) and I am certainly not a plant.

Amazing. So fresh and tasty

As described by seller, extremely soft, fluffy and tasty, I have purchased this on a few occasions and have always enjoyed the taste. I would recommend this to anyone who loves fruit cake

This has got yo be the most gorgeous panettone ever with lots of mixed peel, mixed fruit, dolf cake and theeeer most delicious taste EVER with a gorgeous tin that doesn't have loads of cellotape over the lid that would make it difficult to get off . The tin alon8is worth more than the pricemoaid for the panettone and tim combined. SUCH a wonderful item for Christmas that I bought another in the New Year because the flavour is immense with a wonderful tin too.
