Would this work on a vanity mirror to eliminat a ouple of scratches?

This powdered element (Cerium) is so fine that it will never scratch any surface being worked on as long as clean, pollutant-free cloths are used.

Which powder do you recommend for hard/deep scretch on tempered glass (industry use)?

If you need to remove the deep scratch, you need to sand the glass first and then use the cerium oxide for the final polish. Cerium oxide on its own will not remove the deep scratches. To learn more about the scratch removal process please visit our youtube channel.

Will this work on reading glasses?

We do not recommend using it on reading glasses, this is because the abrasiveness in this product will remove any coatings and if used with a rotary polisher also a layer of glass, resulting in a possible optical change.

Could this product be used to polish the inside of an old bottle by shaking it with maybe some copper pellets?

Unfortunately not, it will not work in your case. Cerium oxide needs to be applied on the felt polishing pad and use with a rotary device at about 1500rpm for best results.
