It arrived not working at all. I'm still giving 5* due to customer support. I had immediately registered the item online, contacted the manufacturer, and within a week had a new one delivered, with a request to recycle the defective one with household electronics. It was a quick and easy process that took minimal time. Product works as expected. Really came in handy when I was a snot factory from covid

Replacing a frying pan for steaming my nose and throat. More costly, yes, but definitely a more effective and more elegant solution 😄 (Edit) Device failed next day after this review. A short e-mail to TechSupport was answered promptly and a replacement was shipped immediately without further questions. Return of failed device was not required. Excellent support! (Second Edit) Replacement device failed after five weeks with same problem (heater failed.). The device was beginning to really help my sinuses and it is a real disappointment - the concept is good but it is poorly designed and/or manufactured.. I seldom write negative reviews, but I feel it is necessary to warn others to not purchase a MyPurMist. My $100 was wasted, do not waste yours.. (Third Edit) The company is determined - they sent a third device. And this one failed exactly the same way yet again, with the heater no longer working after using the device twice a day for thirty days (one half liter bottle of medical grade distilled water.) So I am back to using another brand which is much less convenient to use, does not help my breathing as much, costs a third as much, but the heater still works. MyPurMist, if you choose to solve the heater problem please feel free to send me a fourth device and I will be happy to try again. But at this point, not only my money but my time and a big pile of shipping materials have been wasted on this purchase.

I just bought my second unit after my first one stopped steaming after four years. Much better than those high-heat personal steamers that you can buy. I use it every morning for ten or fifteen minutes while reading my email. It's helped me keep the infections away for years by keeping my sinuses clear. I don't use their ultrapure water packs in mine. I just buy the gallon distilled from the grocery store (Don't use tap water). But that could be why mine only lasted four years. It looks like it failed because the ceramic heating disk down inside got gunked up and I can't reach it to clean it. Great product tho and, if I have to buy new every four years, so be it..

Functions just how it should but isn't helping with moistening my throat like I had hoped

This is my second unit. I had my last one for at least 10 years and it just died is few months ago. I tried buying other units because some of the reviews weren’t the greatest….bad choice. The PurMist steamer in my opinion is the BEST of them all. It’s easy to use, compact and you can use Distilled water. I have my new unit since April 23 and so far so good 😊… and praying this unit lasts me for at least a few years…and if it doesn’t, I still would buy this product again tomorrow. Oh, the only thing I dislike is the mask is a bit of a challenge to attach to the unit, but just take it slow and it finally goes on… with that said, I still wouldn’t buy any other model than the My PurMist steamer, really the best of all the rest.

The device: I bought two devices, one for me and one for my back up vocalist (band name is Voltreus). This thing is incredibly soothing and comforting. After a hard day's of shows or practice, I always look forward to turning my device on the hottest setting and just breathing. It helps hydrate my vocal chords and clear out congestion. It is one of the most relaxing things to do at night. Now for the company: The device I bought for myself died, for seemingly no reason, after 3 months. I even tried putting an extra water in it to see if it had to do with the water, but it didn't. I explained the situation and the company sent me a new one and told me it'd get here in 3-4 days. The device got here in 2 days with like 12 waters (instead of the normal 5 or 6). They honor their year warranty with few questions asked. I was pretty mad at first, but now I'm just impressed. If there was a 6th star, I'd give it.

I purchased my first MyPurMist with high hopes of using it for throat issues and wheezing. However, the mask arrived severely misshapen and deformed, rendering the medical device completely useless. Amazon was helpful enough to provide a gift card credit, so I decided to give the brand a second chance and reordered. Unfortunately, the second unit arrived with a mask that was even more distorted than the first. It is clear there is zero quality control happening at the factory or warehouse. I am beyond disappointed to have two of these units sitting here, both of which are unusable for their intended medical purpose. In hindsight, I should have paid closer attention to the reviews. Many users report these devices breaking after only a few months—or even sooner. Given that I can't even get a functional mask out of the box, I have no confidence in the internal electronics. I will not be ordering from this company again. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Worked really good for helping keep hubby's throat moist after a medical procedure. Easy to use and clean too .
