Tips To Make Your Life Easier
First off, this ended up being an excellent product that was easy to install once I figured out the best way. I originally tried to install this border in my landscaping in August. I was using a shovel to try and shovel out enough material to be able to get these border pieces in. I made it through two border pieces and gave up because it was taking forever to shovel out enough hard dirt to be able to get the pieces in. Fast forward to May of the following year and I had already purchased all the boxes of border so I figured I should try again to make it work. This time around I used a different tool and it made all the difference in the world. I used what I believe is a flooring scraper with a long handle and pushed it down into the dirt where I wanted the border to go and then pushed it front to back to make a trench. I then put the border in and carefully pounded it down with a dead blow mallet. The combination of the ground being soft from all the spring rain and the use of a flooring scraper instead of a shovel made all the difference in the world. I was able to put this border in super fast and it looks fabulous. I believe it is a great buy for the price because when it is installed correctly it really does look like a stone border not plastic. I would highly recommend this landscaping border.

Good for the price
Pros: -Very easy to install. Even with the rocky red clay of Georgia it took just a little bit of manpower to get these into the ground. -Easy to make 90-degree corners; the pieces match up just as well as they do in a straight line. -Looks pretty good, especially for the price. -Seems stable in the ground. I needed to replace an old border because it never stayed vertical, but the low profile of this one, along with the depth of the spikes, makes me feel like this will stay in place better. (And not a pro or a con, but I will note that the spikes on the pieces I got didn't look like they do in the picture. Rather than one contiguous piece of plastic under the part that will be visible--the scalloped shape you see in the picture--mine actually just had spikes in three spots. Still, I think that's more than enough to keep it stable.) Cons: -I wish there were multiple shapes for the "rocks" on top--the repeat every 12 inches in the pattern is pretty noticeable. -Although 90-degree angles are easy, it's fairly difficult to make a gentle curve and virtually impossible to make a tight curve. I was able to pound and cut enough to get a quarter-circle with about an 8-foot radius, but it was tough to do and you can see little gaps between the 12-inch pieces.

Great product, very good quality and very inexpensive, easy to install, takes a few minutes.
This is a lovely and good quality border and for the price you just cannot beat it. It asks of the sturdiness and I gave it a 4 star rating for that. It's not as sturdy as rock or Belgian rock but it's a fraction of the price. You do have to dig a little trench about 5 inches deep all along the border area and then push it into place and fill in the dirt around it. Not bad. This is an interlocking system, so that one section interlocks with the next. Each section is about 12 inches long. It doesn't bend much around corners so when I placed it around a curve I simply didn't interlock the two pieces but left them free standing. The dirt around them covers up this secret : ) For the price they're great, they look good and they do the job of creating a clean looking border anywhere. I highly recommend this product.

ONE OF MY BEST BUYS EVER
I needed to build a border around my lime tree, after a lot of searching I found this. I forgot to buy a rubber mallet, so I used an ordinary one, I was nervous at first, but it worked out fine. This is the first time I've done something like this, it was so easy, I'm not a young person! It took me a couple of hours to make a 6 foot square border around the tree. I had wanted to make a round border, but I couldn't see an easy way of doing it, but now, after seeing it, I'm very satisfied with the square shape. After I was finished, I put weed block fabric inside the previously weeded area, then sprayed Round-up weed killer, round the inside edge. I then covered it with Weed Block fabric. Finally begain the fun part covering it with lovely beach pebbles I ordered from the Home Depot site. First I ordered 2 x 40 lb bags, which wasn't nearly enough, I ordered 6 more bags, which looks a lot better, but still not quite enough, I'm going to order 2 more bags, I think that should do it. The border is just a fraction of the price of the project. 10 x 40 lb bags of pebbles at $20 a bag is a lot of money. It was well worth it though, this edging is just the right height and looks very attractive, I cannot stop looking at it. After placing some brightly colored plants in pots next to the lime tree today, I took some pictures, so beautiful. There's nothing cheap looking about it, looks great and I don't need to do any weeding, just a squirt of Round-up occasionally. Some reviewers said it looks too plastic, I'm glad I didn't listen. I'm very particular, it looks much better than I expected. I liked it so much I ordered enough to go round 2 more trees.

Easy to install with a rubber mallet, takes about 10 minutes per package and looks great as well. Keeps the mulch where it is supposed to be. Would buy again if I needed more.

Very easy to hammer into the soil. Looks pretty good and I am overall pleased with this product. It is made of plastic so doesn't look quite the same as real stone but it certainly isn't bad.

Just what we were looking for to separate a glassy area from an area with landscape rocks. Not realistic looking but we have them mostly underground. They survived the harsh Canadian prairie winters and still look great.

It's not finished on both sides.
