Will this chuck fit a HDC floor style drill press?

The shank of the subject drill chuck is MT2 , Morse Taper number 2. If the drill press take the MT2 shank, it will fit. The dia of the drill press spindle hole shall be 0.70" for MT2.

Wil this Chuck convert a 1/2" to a 1"?

Is it possible to remove the MT2 shank to install the chuck on a drill press?
