Is there a permanent light on the bell push or does it light up as in photo when bell pushed. Does it 'flash'.

It only lights up when pressed, that said it’s the best doorbell we’ve used .....this is the second one we have owned (the first one lasted for 10 years!)

how long does the bell unit ring for when the button is pressed? (we have a different no battery bell but it only rings for one 'ding-dong')

There are 32 tunes available, the simple ding-dong, Westminster chimes, door knock, and Cuckoo call last about 4-5 seconds, most of the others last 10-15 seconds, with 4 or 5 lasting 20 seconds.

it keeps randomly playing 'London bridge is falling down' for no apparent reason. Do you know why this is and how I can stop it happening?

It is picking up signal from another house with in range. So when someone presses their bell yours will ring.

How do I increase volume after reducing it with the volume button on the side

Simple, just keep pressing the volume button, it cycles through!
