Great kit, best disc I've found
I'd been using Softcups (rebranded to Softdiscs) disposable discs as an alternative material option off and on for years, but they had enough flaws that I wasn't comfortable using them consistently and most period underwear can't keep up with my heavy flow (those that do get a bit uncomfortable after a full day of working and period-ing)...So when I first started seeing reusable discs, I was completely on board. I've tried at least four brands and can say that for me Pixie is BY FAR the most comfortable to wear, easiest to insert and remove, and least likely to leak. Getting discs properly inserted is paramount to avoiding leaks or untimely emptying (yes, this has happened to me with other discs, no I couldn't save the pants). Thankfully Pixie's silicone material is stronger than it looks, but is still soft enough that it's comfortable to wear 99% of the time; there's a great pliability to firmness ratio which means it can "pinch" pretty easily, but won't fold up on itself the second you try to insert it or fly out of your hands across the bathroom or straight into the toilet if you don't have a voice grip. It also "opens" easily once you let go - no having to fight with it to get it into place or do a weird dance standing over the toilet (unless you want to, I guess - you do you). I was worried that the "tail" might irritate my bits (I'm prone to uti's if there's too much -erm- jostling in certain areas) or would snap right off the first time I tried to remove the disc, but so far I have had zero issues. By the time I got this kit I was already kind of an old pro at inserting, removing, and emptying discs in general, but the wipes and lube included do make the process much easier and save me from some of the anxiety caused by having to empty my disc while out/at work. Oh, and in case you're curious (I was, and you're welcome), you probably don't want to use the lube for anything *else*; it dries/absorbs relatively quickly and has a less than pleasant flavor. II did have one instance of leakage, but that was my own learning curve issue of knowing the "feel" of this disc being properly inserted and whether or not the shape was conducive to it self-correcting (it's not, in my case. If it's not placed right, I need to take it out and try again). Side note for those shopping around: My second favorite is the reusable disc by Cora, which that works great, but is an absolute pain to insert and remove without feeling like I need a surgical crew on standby (yes, even with the "convenient" tab you're supposed to be able to grip with a finger). Apparently I have a higher-sitting cervix and shorter fingers than whoever that disc is designed for.

Customer Service is INCREDIBLE
The customer service is absolutely out of this world, and the products are incredibly high quality. I found that the medium disc was too large their customer service offered to send me a smaller disc free of charge!! I’m a first time period haver in 15 years due to long term birth control use. I wanted to try an environmentally friendly menstrual product. I was intimidated by the disc but was excited about the applicator. I will admit - I don’t like the applicator. It’s difficult to push even with lube applied and I’ve gotten the hang of manually inserting it after my second cycle. The cups easy to clean using the included cleanser or by boiling. The “tampon string” design really makes it easy to remove. I ultimately chose Pixie as they’re a smaller company based out of my home state. After my experience with their customer service and how kind, personable, and respectful they were - I can’t imagine using another brand of period products

Amazing customer service!!!
So first and foremost, this kit is amazing - comes with everything you need to start, the goodies, and lots of instructions and info. Neither of discs that came in the kit fit for me, unfortunately, and so I contacted customer support to try a different size and within 24 hrs of me sending an email they have already shipped out a replacement! Other than the large being just sliiightly too large, and the small being way too small, the discs are made of durable material and pretty easy to insert if following the instructions. Despite the large being slightly uncomfortable, (it subsided after a bit) I did still want to test out wear, and honestly? 10/10 will NEVER go back to cotton products - 0 leakage, was able to wear out and about and to bed without any problems. The cleaning pot is also super convenient for on the go! Overall, I recommend to any skeptics to at least try it out because I was ALSO skeptic (especially towards the disc) due to bad past experiences, but I'm 100% converted now!

Learning as I go but love
Tried this for the first time recently, or shall I say currently. I have to say, I’m so glad I did! First off, I usually have super bad cramps and discomfort during my period but don’t this time around. Can’t help but find that a little too coincidental that I have yet to feel my usual gross when using the disc vs. my typical tampons. Secondly, it’s so nice to not worry about having enough tampons with me or the worry of being near a bathroom once I could tell my tampon had reached its limits. I will say however, there is a bit of a learning curve. I tried out the disc before my period started, to get the hang of it and gage the new feeling if you will. Totally fine and quite comfortable. But once my period had started I couldn’t get the disc to its resting place without the applicator. So glad I got the starter kit which included it!! I did pinch my inner thigh using the applicator the first couple times. Not horribly but it didn’t not feel good either. Now I’m learning how to tell if my disc is placed correctly once inserted. As one could imagine, I’m questioning it, as I can feel the rim of the disc at times. BUT, I’m not leaking, like at all, so I’m thinking my personal anatomy just lets me feel that. I did however, purchase a sanitizing machine (same brand from Amazon) that plugs in, to keep in my bathroom. I personally found it a bit cumbersome to come up and down the stairs to sanitize my disc. But that’s just me. Again, I’m currently in the throws of giving this product a first time try and am learning as I go. So far, super happy I found this product! Update: Absolutely LOVED this!! Just bought more discs direct from Pixie Cup 💜

Update: I have found that practicing the scooping method when using the disc works really well. So far it seems to be in place and there have been no leaks. Admittedly, I'm only at the beginning of my cycle so time will tell as I get a bit heavier whether it is in place properly or not. For those that might find the pull string a bit uncomfortable, I found tucking it under the bottom of the disc keeps it out of the way and prevents rubbing but is also then easy to access when you need to pull the cup out. ----------- Original review: I bought these because I was desperate to get away from big towels, especially during the heatwave. I find the idea of these easier and a little less 'invasive' than cups especially as there is no suction holding it in place so you can easily pull it out (my hands get stiff from time to time so I lose movability). I found it easy to put in, however, on the day I used them my cervix decided to shift towards my tail bone and I found, even with the applicator, I couldn't quite get it 'tucked' at the back. So I invested in the pixie cup too. This isn't a fault with the product and I have kept them for the days my cervix behaves itself as I felt it was much easier to put the disc in than the cup, especially with checking if it had opened properly. Pros- Excellent bundle. Having 2 different sizes helps you to find your 'fit'. The sanitising bowl is fantastic. I used it both ways, in the microwave and with boiled water fresh from the kettle. Easy to do either. Having the cleansing gel and wipes means you always know your product is clean before reuse. The travel lube is handy too, so if you do need to empty and reuse your disc whilst out it means you don't need to carry a big pump/bottle around with you. The little canvas bags are colour matched to the colour of the disc which makes it easier to see which size you're grabbing without having to open them all. And they all fit nicely in the black bag for monthly storage. Cons- If your cervix shifts you may find it a bit tricky to get into the right position. It is possible but requires a bit of practice, which is why I'll try again on my next cycle, even if I shift, to see if I can get it to work. ******** Frustratingly, I cannot review the applicator separately so I will do it here. I found this applicator is very good for helping to keep the disc folded during insertion as, due to my hands, I was finding it tricky to keep it folded. Being able to change the end of the 'plunger' part to match the size of the disc is also handy. The only issue I have is the cleaning aspect. Yes, it can be cleaned with water and a suitable cleanser but I find it tricky to rinse inside the applicator, especially if it's been a messy insertion. Having a small brush like item to help with this would make it even better. It is larger than a super plus tampon but I found using lube made using this really easy. Definitely worth the investment if you struggle to keep your disc folded whilst inserting.

**Initial Review** Wrong kit sent to me and missing the smallest disc. The kit I ordered included the applicator (see screengrabs) but I've received the kit without the applicator (see photos). I've contacted Pixie Cup directly to resolve the issue. Once I get a response I'll update my review and rating accordingly. The disc received feels good quality but it does look rather large and not sure how it'll fit, time will tell when period arrives. I use cups occasionally but I don't like that I can't reach to remove them easily so thought I'd try discs instead. Also wanted something that can be used during sex. I'll update review if my issues are resolved accordingly and after using the product. Won't allow me to upload the photo and screenshot! *****Updated review***** **Seller** I contacted the seller re the issues above. They sent the missing items out quickly. Although Amazon driver left them on my doorstep and I was away overnight. Luckily the parcel was there when I arrived home which makes a change! **Product review** I've used the large disc and haven't had any issues with use, but removal is messy. I used the lubricant included for the first few insertions. The applicator was sent seperate so couldn't try this. However, the insertion was easy, much easier than anticipated and so much easier than the cups I've used previously. Used for 12 hours without leaks, even on day 2 of my period which is very heavy and I have to change every 1-2 hours. Used 8 hours on this day which is great for me. It auto empties when peeing which is bizarre to me, however I like this as it means I can change it less. Removal is easy using the 'tassel' but it can be messy, I wouldn't want to do this anywhere but home, but maybe I'll change my mind on that in the future as my technique improves. I cut off the tassel on my replacement disc so that we could use this for sex. My partner couldn't feel it and it didn't leak. It was emptied prior to sex, I'd recommend this for less chance of leakage. I've removed the disc without the 'tassel', it was easy to hook it with finger when bearing down and it removed easily but was messy. Luckily I was in the shower so the mess was easily resolved. I'm converted. I'll use discs going forward, with panty liners just in case it does leak at any point.
