Cables are long and rugged. Good solid clamps that will fit the posts on larger batteries and terminals. The boost ability is there. It is light weight and durable with easy charging. I use this about 5 times a month. The instructions say full charge and then charge after each use but I have done three (8cyls) on the same charge. The led is bright and the sos function will alert other traffic in the instance you are changing a tire. Handy to have when you or you loved ones need it.

I purchased this after I failed to jump start my 5.7lt V8 which was totally dead with battery at 3.4v. The vehicle was stuck in my driveway only recourse was to call roadside assistance for a flat bed tow. The tow truck driver asked had I tried to jump it the answer was yes we had it connected to our other vehicle with the engine running and a foot on the gas, the V8 simply refused to even turn over. The tow truck driver let me try my box (the Schumacher unit) he clipped it on the battery and it started right away. My truck was taken to the dealer where a new battery was installed, but I never want to be in situation like this again so I immediately placed an order for the Schumacher USB jump starter. I very much regard this purchase as reasonable cost insurance.

It serves my requirement of having long leads to reach the positive and negative jump points in my 23 RAV4 Hybrid, whereas other popular jump starters have shorter leads. I haven't use this though until needed.

Excellent, started truck right up...

Bought two of these in June 2025.. neither one will take a charge 5 months later and I can't get a response from Schumacher. Multiple chargers have been tried. Frustrating.
