This was easy to install and worked pefently
I moved into a house with an existing bell push garage door but remotes had been lost by the previous owner. The door is fully functional from the bell push but no one seemed to stock the remote control. Obviously the remote is vital if you want to make full use of the door and be able to open it from outside. I looked at other solutions but the Quantek solution was a great find. It was extremely easy to install less than 10 minutes and required minimal wiring and the remotes were already pre programmed. A great product and very competitive price - saved my having to buy a new system. I get a lots of stuff from Amazon and rarely leave reviews but felt I should say something about this one - excellent.

Excellent, works brilliantly. Cheap feeling remotes.
Excellent, simple and quick to install. Does exactly what it says it will. It took me less than 5 minutes it install and worked straight away. I am not leaving 5 stars as I feel that the remotes are very cheap feeling, I am worried that they will fall to pieces being jostled in a pocket or bag attached to my keys.

Remotes are not durable
The unit worked well though I've had nothing but issues with the remotes buttons wearing out after a few weeks. I've had to rewire the receiver to use the second button and now this has broken. The new remotes are also very expensive for what they appear to be, I'm now tasked with either repairing the remote or buying a new one. I'm inclined to look for a better solution and prevent continuously paying for substandard products.

You get what you pay for
It's simple to fit and use but one of the key fobs doesn't work very well. Quality may be an issue.

Well done Quantec
This is a brilliant solution to my problem after losing my original remote transmitter for my obsolete up and over Chamberlain garage door. I trolled the internet for a solution that was'nt too expensive but nearly gave up and was considering paying more than £140 for a replacement kit when I chanced on the Quantec universal kit at £39.00. I found the kit simple to fit and it worked well first time on both the fobs supplied and had a good range, more than enough for my purpose. I ca'nt praise Quantec enough for their product. I am happy to leave this feedback to help any others with a similar problem.

Good idea very poorly executed!
Bottom line up front: Just returned mine after the power supply failed within a couple of hours but the writing was on the wall so to speak. The kit arrived unsealed in a very flimsy cardboard box, if it was any thinner it would be a paper box. Inside were all the items except for the instructions! It looked simple to install but I decided to do a web search just in case. Found the Quantek website, their video of the installation looked simple and there was a PDF of the instructions to download. Apparently you just secure two wires and plug it in, as the remotes are already linked to the receiver. First issue: The wires are inadequately stripped back, only 1mm of conductor exposed, so they required stripping back a bit more to ensure a reliable connection. Easy for me with the right tool. Second issue: Everything installed and turned on but nothing is working. Instructions say I should be able to hear the relays clicking in the receiver box. Silence. Now I'm glad I got hold of the instructions as they tell you how to put the receiver into 'learning' mode and 'teach' it your transmitter code. Opened up the receiver (removal of two very small screws required) and pushed the 'learn' button. Nothing happened. No LED lit up as promised. Perhaps the light on the power supply shouldn't be flashing... or maybe the two DIP switches to toggle the receiving channels on and off were set incorrectly. They weren't but after 'turning it on and off again' the light on the power supply was now steady and no longer flashing. Tried a remote. Success. Door closed and opened again. Third issue: Tried the second remote. Nothing happened. Went back to the first remote to check everything was still working. It was. Conclusion, second remote was not preprogrammed as promised. This time the 'learn' button was working and in went the second remote's code. Tried the remote. door closed and opened again. Finally, a working system with two functioning remotes. I closed up the receiver box, secured it to the garage rafters then tested both remotes again. Inside the garage, just outside the garage, at the bottom of the driveway, in the middle of the street and inside the house. All working as expected! :-) In summary, it was longer than a 15 minute job and you really do need the instructions, so make sure you have a copy. Then came the fourth issue: When my wife came home a couple of hours later and I attempted to open the door for her from inside the house, nothing happened. Tried both remotes. Nothing. Went outside to the garage door and tried both remotes. Still nothing. Ran back to get the old clunky 'Multicode' remote at this point as my wife was getting impatient. Lesson: Make sure you keep the old receiver connected and its remotes handy. Not a confidence inspiring piece of advice but certainly a necessary one! Anyway, it turned out the light on the power supply was off. The power supply had died after about two hours of use! To be honest the whole kit feels very cheaply made. For example, you don't get the full 3 meters of bell wire to connect to your button switch because about 10 cm is inside the receiver box. Why? Because it has a knot tied in it just inside the box to act as a cable grip/tension relief! Very unprofessional. I don't think the kit is worth the £35 Amazon are charging, let alone the £60 Quantek quote on their website! So mine went back today for a refund, less than 12 hours after installation. Now I need to find an alternative solution.

Perfect solution to remote control for garage door
I have a Hormann automatic opener with a hard wired switch and remote control. Although now 13 years old, the door works perfectly, but the remote (my third) is now on the blink, and a replacement is £55! I ordered this solution more in hope than expectation, as it seems too good to be true that I could have two new remotes and a solution to my problem for £30 with free shipping. It arrived in three days (standard shipping), and took me only half an hour to fit (I am no electrician, and it really is easier than fitting a three pin plug). The remotes are pre-programmed and work perfectly. They are wired to the switch, so they do not affect the existing remote or receiver. I cannot recommend this product highly enough. Just one proviso – the wire supplied allows only about twelve feet from switch to power supply, and wiring over a single door uses up most of this.

These are the only alternative to the crap garage door zapper that came with our garage door
These are the only alternative to the crap garage door zapper that came with our garage door. These were easy to add (I am an NICEIC Approved Electrician) to the existing controller. They work in parallel with the existing units. The only reason for 4* is that the range is pretty low i.e. it only works through glass from ~8 meters othewise OK
