Using a lavalier mic to record outside, I had a sound technician mention that I needed a "dead cat." I looked, found this, bought it, and used it. I don't think it would make a difference for loud noises, but for wind, it seriously reduces the rustling sounds on outdoor recordings. Plus, I get to tell people about my "dead cat": when they ask!

These furry little “dead cats” are a bit tricky to get on and keep in place—kind of like trying to put a sweater on a ferret—but once they’re on, they work really well. Wind noise is greatly reduced, and they don’t muffle your voice like some bulkier options can. They’re a cheap and effective solution for anyone using lav mics outdoors or in breezy conditions. Just be prepared to wrestle them a bit during setup. Once secured, they stay put reasonably well and do exactly what they’re supposed to. Solid value for the price. Would buy again.

Great quality deadcat windscreens. Bought for my ECMCS3 lapel mic. There aren't any windscreens advertised that fit it and these work great. Currently using two windscreens; one on each end of the mic tightened with the draw-string. The inner pocket is a bit too small to use only 1

Fast delivery and looks like a good quality product. I put it on my pre-existed foam filter of Wireless Lavalier Microphone and really beats the wind noise. I also like to clip to secure the dead cat. The company log label is relatively too big.

Nice product but a little small for a lot of lapel mics. Would like to see a slightly larger version. It helps a lot with wind and greatly improves the sound quality outside. However if you have one mounted inside a motorcycle helmet you are going to have to use a lot of trial and error if your helmet is prone to wind and may end up using one of these over the foam cover already on your mic.

They work well. My first remote microphone and was worried if they would fit. Mike is about 1/2 inch by 1/4 inch wide. Their is a small change in my voice, but it sounds better. Sadly, with the giant YouTube demonetization of channels items like this won't be on my list a long time.

I had a Comica system in the past and although i was not in love with their system, i sure enjoyed using their LAV dead cat. Made well, easy to use, and simple. I like the drawstring closer. When i was looking for a product, like this, i was surprised to see these sold by themselves. The day they arrived, i used them right away. they work, simple and easy.

these mini dead cat or (dead kittens) take your pic, boost the audio quality of my work in outdoor windy conditions. If you are shooting at the beach or any other out door location use these, you will sound much better and sound and look more professional.

Li ho solo provati velocemente con Sennheiser ME 4n (la capsula del microfono è una sfera di circa 12mm di diametro) e ho solo potuto constatare una attenuazione accettabile in rapporto al costo, non ho altri di marche più conosciute e non posso confrontarli.

Very nicely made small fur wind muffs for lav mics. Good quality fur and workmanship. Very nice ! Work well. Wind protection for mics depends on the air gap between the fur and the mic - obviously a small wind cover can't protect against high wind but these are as effective as any at this size - and very economical compared with big name brands. The fur when fluffed out is about 5.5cm in diameter. You need to push a pencil or small finger into the cover to open up the interior void. Good small toggles tighten the base around the mic/cable.

Have used these now for quite a time now. Very good (specially because of drawstring which makes them usable of mics of different sizes). Defeats all wind even strong gusts.

One of the few wind mufflers for lav mics with drawstring. Very effective. Fits most lavmics.
