Great quality cameras: Amazing customer service
We absolutely love these cameras over any other we have. I do have Google nest cameras in and outside of my home and they go out constantly with issues of wifi connectivity. These cameras are for more reliable, have superb picture / video quality, on top of clear and loud voice transfer and lighting when needed. They turn to see a full view and the app is super easy to use. I absolutely recommend these cameras as we love the capability of using them where you can’t get to wifi. We have some property not far from our home that we place one on for security as well as our seasonal campsite. With the solar panels, the cameras remain charged and we’re able to check in on things and feel secure. We’ve even caught several coyote, deer and moose coming through, as well as scaring off a bear trying to get into our shed. We were able to talk to it though the camera, turn on the spot light and scare it away before it did any damage. So worth the price of the camera and subscription.

Great camera, user manual could be better.
I originally left a harsh review but I was incorrect. The problem was with the Ubox app. The camera worked great at first but when I tried to add a second phone everything went dead. I wasted a lot of time trying to get the camera working. I finally deleted everything and gave up. I got a second identical camera and started afresh. When I installed the Ubox app the second time a brief message flashed saying they had fixed a bug that caused the app to crash when someone added a second cell phone. I have not tried to add a second cell phone yet. Everything is working great. The camera is installed at our property gate a half mile from our house. The solar panel keeps the camera charged even in our very rainy weather. It’s in a fairly sunny site. It’s very sensitive. We had to aim the camera away from the county road because every car that went by set it off. Now how does the signal get out? Version is clueless about 4G LTE cameras. They keep insisting we give them the IMEI number. These are for cell phones. Security cameras use ICCID numbers. The Ubox app allows one to set up cell service through eiotclub.com for a fee. This service uses AT&T, Verison, or T-Mobile which ever is available. We paid $14 for one month. Seems to work. That takes care of cell service but what about the cloud? The Ubox app allows you to pay another monthly fee for unknown cloud storage. It turns out the camera is the cheapest part. Originally I was going to install multiple cell cameras but each one has to have a cell and a cloud subscription. So it’s Wi-Fi cameras closer to the house. We have not done the cloud yet. The camera is by a public road. It’s very easy to pull it off the mount. The SIM card goes with the camera. Do I have access to the only video that counts? Even if I have cloud service? Anyhow the camera is great. Ubox is better than the Fred Meyer grocery shopping app. Not as good as the Walmart app and nowhere near the gold standard Home Depot and Amazon apps.

absolute garbage
update....so the 4th camera broke, thats 4 cameras that did not last a year, the SCAM continues, texting customer service, they say we send you new camera..camera comes, its the cheapest crappiest version yet, i say what am i suppose to do with this? they say put your SIM card in the new camera...they know the new camera just like the old broke one has a BUILT IN SIM card and you can't take it out or put a new one in, the only choice is buy more data and more cloud storage, i took the broken camera apart, you should see how crappy they are built the one antenna the wire inside was NOT even soldered it was just hanging inside the camera, absolute chinese garbage......and thats the SCAM, they sell you crappy equipment just to sell you on a scam DATA PLAN, Amazon should stop selling this garbage....update...this junk camera quit on me in 7 months, absolute garbage camera, and the data on the sim card ran out in 7 months, its a scam to sell you a cheap junk camera and then sell you data, thats what they sell, data. you can't even transfer the data thats left on the sim to a new camera cause the new junk camera has a built in sim card...what a frickin mess, i wish i never got involved with this scam chinese company, should have stuck with the REO-LINK cameras, they are way better and last alot longer, customer service is non-existent, when you have a problem you have to text them in china and they get back to you 2 days later and its at 4am, what a joke so far so good been about 6 months since i put them up, they can be sketchy at times but work pretty good, it all depends on how good your cell signal is..not cheap you need to buy a sim card thats good for about a year,$160.00 plus you need cloud service $20 a year, not cheap but i have no other options update

Great bargain and very good results
For the cost, and ease of installation and use, this device is great. A friend of mine bought one and once I heard about cellular cameras, it was what I’ve been looking for. I use it at some country property of mine. There is little to no cell service there so I had to trial a couple different 30 day SIM cards first. Once I determined which one picked up the most signal I stuck with that. I had a few things I needed to understand better and work out with customer service. Hedy was very helpful with that, and even set me up with some cloud service. What I know about my device is that I get 1-2 bars of signal at best. The device will not record video when activity detection is on without cloud service. Videos from activity detection will not go onto the SD card, which I also have. Now I’m loving the videos of activity!

Great camera but would not record to cloud
First the good stuff. The camera was easy to install. Cell service and cloud service were easy to set up. The camera seems to function perfectly. The day and night images are very good. Motion detection works well. Battery stays fully charged even with dozens of alerts per day (I need to fine tune the target area). Controls from my phone are very responsive. If you want to record when motion is detected, you can subscribe to a reasonably priced cloud service or purchase a micro sd card that you insert into the camera. I wanted to record to the cloud instead of using a micro sd card. If someone damages or steals the camera, the sd card and recordings are gone. So I subscribed to the cloud storage service. My camera will not reliably record to the cloud. With over 100 alerts it has recorded only 4 times. For those few times it worked, I had moved a large truck right in front of it or I had my hand and face within 3 inches of the lens using the reset button to try to make it work. It failed to record (but alerted) when a man used a riding lawn mower back and forth in front of the camera multiple times, clearly within the target area and many times within a few feet of the camera. Customer service, Rebecca, has been great; she was very responsive and tried to help. I temporarily shared the camera with their engineers and they could not find a fault, attributing the failure to slow cell service. The camera display shows 2 to 3 bars out of 5, with 4G service. I do not understand why that is insufficient. They are graciously shipping me a micro sd card so I can record but as I said, that is not my preference. 10/9/25: Updated review to 4 because of excellent customer service. The company sent me another camera, an sd card and refunded the original purchase price. The camera seems to work great now and records reliably onto the card. It still will not record to cloud.

The Greatest Support and Good Hardware
First of all the support is outstanding. I had a few questions and got help from several guys and a gal named Kiki. They always responded within the same day if not within minutes. Somehow Xega has managed to put together a support team that rivals any I have experienced. Now - for the hardware. I am using this to monitor my rural raw land 2000 miles away from where I live, while a driveway gets started and eventually a home build - this is in the mountains. I have yet to try it there but am going to next week. I know that Verizon is available on the road next to my property so we are only going to know if we get 4G signal after we get there and put it on a tree and try it out. To prepare for this I have tried this at home and it works great. If you are like me and are questioning all the steps involved in getting service from the SIM they provide, it is really simple and I would suggest using YouTube University for that. One question that support replied to was - how do I know the best service is where I am going? I was questioning if you had to buy T-Mobile or Verizon or ATT....its simple - when you buy your data plan you get all 3 and it selects the best one when you power on the hardware and hooks you to the right signal seamlessly. I paid about $80 for 6-GBytes of data. They referred to the plan as a 6 month plan but that is just because the average user goes through 10GB per month. I tried it and gauged my use by watching the video live and then logging off and looking at the data total you have left - easy to monitor. In the little time over 2-3 weeks just minimally testing triggers and live feed - I think it starts at 6.128GB and I am now at 5.997GB. Time is going to tell how much I use and if it triggers too often. That is the next subject - triggers. It has a setting of High-Med-Low. Even on low it was pretty trigger happy. Like my Blink it doesn't have a way to set exclusion zones in the field of view - say like if a tree limb always blows and moves in the wind - there is no way to exclude that zone and if you have that issue then data is going to get wasted. The final thought that I already fed to Xega suuport team is the way it uses 4G data. I was told that any time you turn on that app it is using 4G data. I understand that if you are looking at a live feed or video on your SD memory or have to set options on the hardware because that data has to go over the air from your phone app to the hardware and return, but what if you just want to look at video or photos on the cloud? I might not have understood that right but that is how I interpreted what they told me. I might edit this again after I try it next week - now the hardware gets a 4 and support a 5 out of 5. /Update 12-16-23 - I've had this for 4 months at our mountain property and it has been awesome. The solar panel is keeping this thing running beautifully and the images are awesome - deer and squirrels and watching snow storms from 1800 miles away. I should have got 2 and put them up. Great value. And did I say the support was awesome.

Macht was sie soll
Gute Kamera.
