Natural Point TrackIR 5 Bundle Includes TrackIR 5 Optical Head Tracker & Track Clip Pro

Do you play flight sims or any other games where having head tracking is important? Great! Buy this, it's literally game changing. After getting into Microsoft Flight Sim 2020, I wanted to check out Track ir. I've heard about it for years but never really had a need for head tracking in most of the games I play. So when I got into MSFS2020 I decided to check it out. The ability to have your head tracked in a game like this flight sim is amazing, it removes the whole aspect of having to look around and makes it natural. You want to see what's to your right? You just look there. It takes immersion and cranks it up to level 11. Setting up Track ir is a little bit of a task, as is getting in game and fine-tuning it to what works for you, but it was relatively easy and you can do it in game - just make sure to check the option to NOT minimize it while in game until you've got it fine-tuned. Track ir's software makes this a breeze and although it is not extremely intuitive, a few youtube videos make it possible. The tracker clip easily connects to your gaming headset and the Pro bundle with the powered tracker is awesome (I don't know how the non-powered tracker compares). After spending maybe an hour getting it fine-tuned and set up now, you just clip it to your headset and jump in game - it's as easy as looking where you want and moving your head closer to see, just like reality. Some people dig the product for not having been updated for years, but my thought is if it isn't broke, don't fix it! It works perfectly. My suggestion is look around at different sellers since some are incredibly over-priced due to demand with recent MSFS release, but you can find some sellers that are selling it for what is available on Track ir's website. Overall, it's a great product and totally worth it. It changes the entire dynamic of the game to make an already ultra-realistic game even that much better. Give it a go and happy flying!

This review is for the TrackIR 5 with the TrackClip Pro. Seriously, this is one massive upgrade for combat flight simulators in particular, and pretty much any sim you need to move your head around in. DCS: World works "right out of the box" with no fussy re-mapping, and it freed up the hat switch on the joystick for other combat-related tasks. X-Plane works well, but the motion takes some getting used to; take advantage of the software's profile feature to do some pre-title tweaking. Pros: it just works. Software downloaded and installed without issue on Windows 11, the camera clip was not difficult to adjust for my monitor, and I was able to jump right in a cockpit in DCS: World without hunting down any checkboxes. I had an available USB port on my machine so no worries about powering USB hubs. Cons: you'll probably want to tweak the speed and smoothing settings to settle it down some. It's very responsive and that can cause issues for critical evolutions in-flight (like landing). The motion does take a little getting used to, so spend some time sitting on a runway or ramp first. Also be prepared for another wire from your headset if you use the TrackClip Pro. Overall, I give it 5 stars because I'm too cheap to buy a VR hood and this solves the same huge problem that VR solves: lose sight, lose the fight. I promise you this will drastically improve your ability to maintain situational awareness. TrackIR will definitely give you a leg up and it won't break the bank.

Wow, this really is a game changer. I am glad that I didn't go with VR. With TrackIR, you can see your keyboard and have excellent resoulution/graphics settings. It can be tricky to setup, but Youtube and 3rd party profiles made it simple and quick. It really does feel natural when inside the cockpit in DCS World.

This product is easy to use and works on all flight sims including P3D, DCS and IL2.

They didn't send me what is advertised but it is still a pretty good knock off and works fine

The classic. Use with the pro-clip if you never have before. It will amaze. Next best to VR, but with better graphics ;-)

Too expensive, should be wireless. Otherwise great product and creates a deeper immersion.
