HQ CD Lens Cleaner

First of all, i would like to state that this product was used on an Xbox 360, and only needed one use to fix. I was starting to have trouble with my Xbox 360, it was having trouble reading disks. Naturally i just assumed it was overheating and so i switched it off and left a fan over it to cool it down. The fan was on for 6 hours straight just to be safe. However, when switching the Xbox back on, and attempting to play a game, i was being prompted to open the tray, which only happens if/when there is no/unreadable disk in place. after many attempts of cleaning the disk, trying other games, and blowing into every nook and cranny of the Xbox i could find, i was still having the same problem. At this point it had become very frustrating as i have previously heard Xbox's have a tendency to fail. After assuming the worst, and thinking that my Xbox had been broken by something, i started to price up how much it would cost to get it fixed/replaced. I did not like the odds of getting a new one. So being enthusiastic about fixing it myself, i searched the interwebs and someone had tried using a disk cleaner, but to no prevail. Searching Amazon, i found this cheap one. So what if it doesn't work right? you cant exactly complain for the price. So i took my chances and gave it a shot. When the item came, i followed the instruction, which are also very easy to understand. Although the item comes with fluid, you have to pierce the funnel with a pin. when placed in the Xbox, it wouldnt run, so for the viewers who have the same problem. WHAT I DID: Open the tray, get a hairdyer and blow it into all the holes/openings of the Xbox, quickly insert the disk, and bang (you may have to try different strengths) on top of the xbox where the disk would be inside, do this untill the Xbox reads the disk. When running, the disk gets to work straight away, and the instructions are incredibly easy. It literally took me 2 minutes to fix my xbox. a problem which had been occuring for a number of weeks, was fixed with app £3.00 and two minutes worth of time. strange huh? Overall, the product is excellent! (it was for me anyway) gets to work straight away! only takes a number of minutes! BEST PART? IT IS CHEAP, AND IT WORKS! i would recommend this item to anyone having trouble with disk reading!

My IMac has had trouble playing DVDs for a while now. After a bit of reading online I was convinced it was a problem with the drive itself after reading some horror stories of it being poor quality and just failing. Not the case as it turned out. Used this product, which has cleaning fluid and small cloth sections on two places on the CD. Just add a bit of cleaning fluid to the cloth and insert into your player of choice. My IMac and now reads DVDs perfectly again. Can I say as well the main seller dispatched this item very quickly (arrived within 2 days of ordering) and was estimated 3-5. Can't think of much more to say other than if you think your DVD drive is dead, try cleaning it with this. Given the cheap price, it might just save you time and money if your dvd lens is dirty rather than dead in the water. ### Update 2 days after initial review - the product appeared to help for a short time but DVDs placed within the computer now vibrate excessively. It also struggles to read DVDs even more than previously. I think the DVD lens is faulty and thus no amount of DVD lens cleaning will help. I would still advise people to use this as a first port of call because it seems to help a lot of people, but be aware it will not bring your dying tech back from the dead.

Brilliant. Thought I'd need a new CD player for my car as it was making scratching noises. so easy to use, cover with the cream, included pop it in CD and press play. Fantastic scratching gone.

The concept has been around for a long time and I have used CD/DVD cleaners before; generally speaking, they are what they are - cheap but functional things. This product is exactly that. It is cheap, but functional and as a result, useful but not great. If you are looking for an amazing gadget that will change your life, this is not it. If you are looking to clean your CD/DVD player for only a few of your hard-earned coins, then you are in luck - buy one!

I am absolutely blown away by this product. I've had to come straight on here and write this review. We've been 'making do' with our DVD player for months with its intermitant playing of DVD's. On putting in a new DVD it would never play and so I'd have to eject the disc and blow into the slot and then try again. This would take probably 5-6 goes before the disc would work and even then it would jump straight to the films menu and not let you watch the trailers or go on the extra features etc. Once you got a disc working if you then changed it for another one we would have to go through the same problems over and over again. We were considering buying a new DVD player. Until I found this. I bought this product based on its reviews. It arrived this morning and I couldn't wait to try it. As other reviews say, imbedded in the cd is a small sponge and then what looks like brushes. You put a one drop of the fluid on the sponge side and then pop in to the DVD player or other equipment which plays discs. The disc then spins for a short time before music plays and then the guide starts based on what language you speak. It asks you to select a particular track for which language you speak and then you follow the audio instructions. The disc was in my DVD player for around 3 minutes, if that, before the music ended and a foreign voice started speaking and so I ejected the disc. Eager to test it I put a DVD in straight away and was amazed to find it worked! The disc can be used again and there is loads of fluid left after using the one drop for this occasion. You do have to poke a hole in the top of the bottle with a needle though! I would highly recommend this product to anyone experiencing problems with their DVD player or games console etc. I will buy again if I ever have the need to. The product was dispatched quickly and the price is unbelievably good value! I can't say enough good about this product to do it justice, thank you so much!

I will change my review if makers get back to me but this isn't suitable fora DVD which it says it sis as there is no menu and no way to get the DVD past the long list of instructions in different languages. It said when you hear the beep to skip to track 9 but if you try to it just starts from the beginning again. Hopeless for the job I wanted it for prob OK for CDS. Agree with users who said getting into the packaging is ridiculously hard and there is no pin in the lid to prick open the bottle so you are forced to sue scissor sunless you happen to be a seamstress with a needle handy! Then too much of the liquid spurts out.

It cleaned my cd laser but took quite a few attempts but did work, the brush thing attached was slightly crunched which definitely didn’t help.

aquí con el disco este maravilloso, para la limpieza que aun no he usado, pero que solo he encontrado por aquí, porque no veas lo difícil que es encontrar estas cositas en una tienda pequeña o local o incluso en un gran comercio te ves negr@, y bueno, no lo he usado todavía porque hace poco use uno y yo soy de los que me gusta tener algo, para cuando lo necesite, ya lo tenga :) y no luego, que cuando te hace falta, todo se pone en tu contra, no lo encuentras, tiendas cerradas, ahora te corre prisa por ayudar a ese amig@ que luego se olvida del día de tu cumple :), etc, etc, etc. y como hoy en día quien no tiene en casa algún aparejo que necesite de la limpieza de un disco con el botecito para limpiar, encuentro que es una buena compra que te puede durar mucho, eso si,... si compruebas que el botecito después de usarlo esta bien cerradito, no te vaya a pasar lo que a mi, ;(, Suele pasar cuando tienes la cabeza en mil sitios....

Kurz und gut, das Produkt tut was es soll. Würde ich wieder kaufen zu einem wirklich gutem Preis. Warum soll man für einen Linsenreiniger mehr Geld ausgeben.

Le lecteur de ma freebox avait du mal à lire les Blu-Ray. Certains ne passaient pas du tout (Le Seigneur de Anneaux et Star Wars par exemple... comme bien des gens). Vu le prix, j'ai tenté le coup. J'ai acheté ce kit de nettoyage. Livré très rapidement comme d'habitude (commandé le jeudi reçu le samedi), j'ai tout de suite passé le disque de nettoyage dans le lecteur de la freebox. Et là, miracle, TOUS les Blu-Ray passent du premier coup. Sur certains j'ai constaté de nettes améliorations de qualité d'image. Certains ralentissements qui survenaient lors de la lecture ont totalement disparus. Je peux enfin profiter de mes films en HD. Rapport qualité prix imbattable. Inutile d'aller dépenser 3 ou 4 fois plus dans un kit soi-disant spécial Blu-Ray. Celui-ci fonctionne parfaitement !

Reinigung nach Anweisung funktioniert gut. Nach Reinigung läuft nicht jede CD. Liegt vermutlich an CD.
