Excellent quality for the price

Update: Plus one star for good customer service, and making it right even when our impression of something like tea can be somewhat subjective. It's nice to know that it's not so "risky" to try a new brand. Compared to my two favorite brands, there's barely any smoke in this batch. A hint of scent in the dry tea, but once brewed it's pretty much like regular black.

I was surprised 🙀 to find how the tea leaves to be delicate like one would expect in a premium tea. The tea is simply smokey without odd flavors mixed in. Its not fruity or nutty or sweet. Its just smokey and medium to strong flavor but it seems lower caffeine than most which is great because it doesn't make me agitated. Good value for the money. Smells nice too. Best feature is that it doesn't turn nasty after many rounds. Just eventually dilutes after about six rounds. Too bad this company is out of jasmine pearls and oolong. And if they have another smokey tea or charcoal tea i would buy

Good flavor but not as good as stash and they’re unavailable now so suitable substitute

For an old guy like me this tea takes me back to my youth of nights by a smoky camp fire next to a flowing stream with friends, fond memories that this tea brings to me. It has a robust flavor that can stand next to a cup of coffee. The tea's smokiness is all-around but not overbearing. It's body that of a strong black tea comes through it's smokiness. Sometimes I like to use this tea to make a spicey Chai, the smokiness makes that experience exceptional. The price is very good and I highly recommend you give this Lapsang Souchong a try. Cheers!

Wonderful smoky flavor.

Doesn't really have that smoky taste. Tastes more like straight black tea. Disappointing. The tea bags from the same company (Tee Lux) have more of a smoky taste.
