Works great connections is super dry

Seems ok so far, although it hasn't rained much recently. The main problem, as with many similar product, is that it doesn't specify what cable diameter it supports, so if you have one that's wider than usual it might be difficult to make it fit. I had to sand the two extremity to make it work with my cable, and even like this it doesn't close completely.

As a Motorhome owner I carry on the MH different 16amp power cable addon extensions so that any 'hook up' I encounter is not a problem. However, there is always the risk of rain penetrating the connection, so I first brought one of these Socket Covers in France from a Hypermarket for 3euros, and later wished that I had bought a couple more at the same time. When I found Socket covers on Amazon marketplace I ordered them. They are well made - but were delivered without the hangers that are often needed to support your 'hook up' connection where site multi sockets are full and you have to connect to the remaining spare socket using a cord through the hanger. The supplier did send me the hangers seperately - ensure that you get them if you use camp site 'hook ups'. Masterplug claim they are only splash proof covers, but I have used in torrential rain and they keep the rain out - one major point - these socket covers are only suitable for 'thick'/ artic type 3 core cable /15/16 amp max 250v - single phase. They shoudn't be used with twin core cable, it isn't thick enough to provide the water proof seal at entry and exit. Now I have my missing hangers I am pleased with the Covers and the fact that the Seller agreed to send them to me . So overall an OKAY product, Seller and pleased customer.

A good safety item idea , keeps your plugs dry and protected , would recommend !

Considering both items purchased (the other being an extension cable whose socket orientation is actually AT A RIGHT-ANGLE to the cable) which unfortunately means that the plug and socket do not fit within the "sausage". However, this issue can be addressed by the purchase of a socket with the required alignment, which of course means an extra bit of work. (I might well keep-looking until I find a socket with the required alignment.)
