Excellent for what they are…
I really like these little screen/bezel protectors from ESR! But you have to know what to expect and being willing to accept their limitation, otherwise you are going to be disappointed. I have a black ultra 2. I am fairly rough with my wearables! I am a firefighter and do not take off my watch at work. I also like the things I pay good money for to stay is good condition. I have average to less then average size wrists (6.5”). I would love to have complete coverage and protection on my watch, I have tried all the minimal sized cases and still not like the added bulk and/or look of them. I like the naked watch as it looks out of the box. But I also know I will break and scratch this watch! I bought these little protectors to try and it turns out I love them, even better than a regular screen protector because I don’t feel an edge of the glass when sliding my finger across the screen. It protects the bezel, which I think is the most prone spot on the watch to be damaged. I also appreciate that it softens edge of the watch bezel, I find it is a little sharp from the factory. Touch sensitivity doesn’t seem to change with or without the protector. It’s easy to install and remains bubble free. I can hardly tell there is a protector on the watch, it blends in very well and the color seems to match quite well, the sheen is slightly off in bright sun. I also have a couple of similar products from other manufacturers, but the bezel is just slightly thicker to the eye and doesn’t blend in the watch as well. Now for the limitations. As I mentioned, the bezel seems to be the most prone spot for damage on these watches. This is apparent as every time I put one of these on, I get a scratch on the protectors bezel within a day. It doesn’t bother me too much because I know the watch is safe, but it does stand out if you go with black. It would be nice if ESR made it a bit more robust, but I can’t say I would want to pay much more for a stronger coating. I know it will get replaced with a new one, which brings me to my second limitation. This protector creates a very small lip at the base between the protector and the watch. The lip is more subtle than I imagined when I looked at the pictures originally. However, it is just enough to every once in a while, catch on something and cause it to pop off. If this happens, it needs to be replaced with a new one. I currently have one on my watch that popped off and while it still functions great, there are two small bubbles where dusk got stuck to the inside. Even knowing the limitations, I will continue using this product, in fact I will be purchasing a few more packs just to have them on hand for when they pop off. I give this a 5 star, not because it is a perfect product, but because it performs just as a would expect it to understanding the limitations of the minimal design. Thank you ESR, keep up the good work! A note about other brands similar protect. I have a couple of these from a different brand. They were gifted with other products I bought. The bezel is ever so slightly larger and doesn’t blend nor blend into the watch as well. If you are going to buy one of these types of protectors, look carefully at the users photos to see the difference, these are better. And I’m not sure what to say about Zaggs version. It looks the same, but at $45 I will never get to test it, I know it’s likely to pop off within a few months, so that price is crazy to me.

AWESOME SAUCE
So full disclosure, the first package I got, there were issues getting these to adhere correctly in that there seemed to be a few small areas missing adhesive. This resulted in a few little speck like areas that one could potentially confuse for tiny specks of dust preventing adhesion, but under a macro lens it was easy to see that wasn’t the case. Just some areas that wouldn’t adhere 100%. I got in contact with ESR support and they quickly sent me a replacement no questions asked. Lacy with customer support is the best! Upon receiving the replacement, I did the install again taking care to properly follow the instructions (as always) and this time I got a perfect installation. It’s been about 12-15 weeks thus far and no issues at all. Still perfectly adhered, and amazingly scratch free which is saying something since I’m constantly bumping and scraping my wrist against random surfaces lol. Aesthetically, the fit and finish is outstanding. I completely forget it’s on there. Looks 100% stock. Very little to nothing about it says “aftermarket screen protector installed”. You just forget it’s there and go about your life bumping and banging into stuff with no consequence. If you really sit there and stare at it, yeah it’s noticeable then. Otherwise, it’s very understated and any change to the app dance or profile of the Ultra is minimal, at best. And it’s inexpensive! For me, that’s peace of mind well worth the price of admission. Shout out to ESR. I now have cases or screen protection products of their design on my iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. They’re really making some great stuff, and have begun to replace the use of Spigen products for me. UPDATE: 12/27/24 I’ve had the same protector on my Apple Watch Ultra for over a year now, and I’m honestly surprised it looks nearly perfect. No air bubbles, still completely adhered, no scratches or wear to speak of honestly. I’m impressed. I still have the other protector in the box. Ain’t had to use it yet!

Unnoticeable!
5 month update. The color match is still a convo starter. Saved me a few times from possible scratches. As many pointed out it pops off if it gets snagged, but the solution there is to avoid it getting snagged in the first place, don’t want to damage your $800 watch. Mine popped off 3 times but each time I was able to replace it, looks good as new but you have to use one of the sticky tabs that comes with screen protectors to remove dust and lint before reapplying. Works like a charm! 2 month update: Still going strong. Slight scuff mark after a pretty substantial brush up against the edge of a wall but it’s only visible from a certain angle with light reflection as seen in the 2nd photo. From time to time I have to do a close examination to ensure the thing is still on my watch, it’s that inconspicuous! Besides the impact that resulted in a mild scuff mark, it’s exposed to the thumps and bumps of everyday use and it never dislodged, no surface scratches. Still 5 Stars almost 2 months later! Seriously! The best feature is the finish and color, blends right in like a chameleon. Application was flawless. Position, drop, press center. That’s it! No bubbles. For dust free environment apply in bath room after running hot shower for a min or 2. Tap and swipe response is unaffected, in fact, it feels exactly like the watch glass. There’s really no aesthetic or functional difference. It really does look and feel like it isn’t even there! Quite an improvement from the prior screen protector I had with plastic cutouts for the buttons and the scroll wheel, reminded me of a Spartan helmet! I would buy this again and do highly recommend!

One Star, Zero Protection, and Half the Promised Product
Oh, where do I even begin with this absolute travesty of a product? The "ESR 2 Pack Armorite Screen Protector for Apple Watch Ultra 2/1" – and I use the term "pack" with extreme sarcasm – has managed to achieve a new low in my experience with tech accessories. Firstly, let's address the elephant in the room, or rather, the missing elephant in the package. This is advertised, in bold letters I might add, as a two pack. Imagine my delight upon opening the meticulously sealed (and clearly lying) packaging to find a grand total of one solitary screen protector staring back at me. One! It's like ordering a pair of socks and receiving a single, lonely foot warmer. The audacity to call this a "2 Pack" is frankly insulting and borders on outright false advertising. But the disappointment didn't end there, oh no. Naively, I proceeded to install the singular screen protector I received, hoping against hope that perhaps the quality of this lone survivor would somehow compensate for its missing sibling. The installation itself was unremarkable, though the edges didn't seem to sit quite flush. Little did I know that this was a harbinger of the impending doom of this pathetic excuse for screen protection. Fast forward a mere eight hours. Eight measly hours! I was going about my day, completely unperturbed, when I felt a slight tickle on my wrist. To my utter astonishment, the vaunted "Armorite" screen protector had spontaneously decided to stage a dramatic exit from my Apple Watch Ultra. It simply popped off. Just like that. No bumps, no scrapes, no extreme sports – just a casual, unceremonious detachment from the very device it was supposed to protect. And now, the final insult: this flimsy piece of "metal" refuses to adhere back to the screen. I've tried cleaning both the protector and my watch face meticulously, applying pressure, offering it gentle encouragement – nothing. It's as useful as a chocolate teapot, a soggy biscuit, a screen protector that can't even stay on for a single workday. So, to summarize this catastrophic experience: I paid for two, received one, and the one I did receive decided to abandon its post within eight hours. The ESR 2 Pack (cough, cough) Armorite Screen Protector is not just a disappointment; it's a complete and utter waste of money. Avoid this product like the plague. You'd be better off leaving your Apple Watch Ultra completely naked than entrusting its precious screen to this unreliable and falsely advertised garbage. Consider yourselves warned.

Amazing, but for one slight flaw
I was concerned about damage to the face and rim of my black Apple Watch Ultra 2, especially since I seem to flail my arm and hit things with it. I did research to find a screen protector and this one seemed like exactly what I was looking for. It's not bulky because it doesn't wrap around the sides of the watch. It just sticks to the screen and the rim around the face. I've been very happy with this product. I was super easy to attach with no bubbles, as advertised. It looks great... actually, it doesn't even look like it's there. It fits the watch so perfectly and it's so thin that you really can't tell that there is a screen protector attached. Color matches perfectly, too. I would love to give this five stars, but there is one problem. Today, after 5-6 weeks of having this protector on my watch, it just fell off. It appears that the adhesive lost its stickiness. I can reattach it to the watch, but it just falls off with the slightest touch. I will keep using and probably reordering this protector until I find a better option. It turns out that this is a consumable that lasts several weeks.

Looks Great and Peace of Mind
Even though it comes with a sapphire screen, I can’t help but feel anxious about scratching or dinging my Apple Watch Ultra. This screen protector cover protects the screen and edges, feels premium, and adds a bit of flare to the watch. The color is a great complement to the crown dial and action button. I have yet to test how it holds up under water, in a sauna, or in cold conditions. I will update once I do and include lifespan of the product when it is time to put on a replacement. Update: have used this case for about 6 months. Have swam in the ocean multiple times, been in very hot saunas and steam rooms nearly a dozens of times, swam with it in pools dozens of times, showered almost daily with it on my wrist. I’ve also been in below freezing and snow with it many times. I’ve gone rock climbing with the case, mountain biking, hit and scraped it on multiple things. Still looks and works perfectly. Good instructions and application process too. Update: the first screen protector finally needed replacing more than a year later. I snagged my wrist on a doorframe and pulled off the orange metal edge of the screen protector while I was on vacation. The clear plastic part of the screen protector stayed attached for another week or so before I was able to get home and replace it. The replacement has now been on my watch for over 6 months with no issues.

Didn't Last 1 Hour....BUT.....
Looks like a well thought out product. Touch response was just as it is with no potector. Easy to install and looked like it came directly from Apple with it installed. But in than 1 hour it came off. I followed the installation instructions to the letter and in less than an hour whatever adhesive it is that is used failed and the protector fell off, onto the floor. I can't even rate how well it protected my Apple Watch Ultra because it wasn't on long enough to do so. It had one job..... ***UPDATE*** - ESR contacted me to apologize for a faulty product and promptly sent out a replacement as well as a full refund fud my purchase. I've received the replacement product and installed on my Apple Watch Ultra and so far it's been nothing short of perfect. Great fit, perfect touch response and looks like a factory product. Great customer service and it's nice to see a vendor that is willing to stand behind their product.
