Installed my new grill burners today. Noted burners have a slightly different arrangement of holes; there are no holes crossing over the top of the burners. Tried burners in my Lynx 30" LP BBQ. Adjusted burner vent rings to get proper flame characteristics (read your BBQ manual) and screwed down the vent ring setscrews to prevent inadvertent movement. Without the briquet grate and briquets in place, flame did not spread between orifices well. I was concerned, thinking the lack of crossover holes might pose a danger. Once the grate and briquets were in place, flame spread quickly across the entire left burner; the right burner ignited almost immediately from the left burner. Like other aftermarket burners available on Amazon, these cast iron burners are about 1" shorter than the original equipment brass burners, but they fit perfectly and should still give plenty of grill coverage. And for less than 1/5th the cost of OEM replacements, I am not about to complain! Update August 2024: 6 years later, the burners I installed in 2018 are dead (along with the original briquet grates, but that's another story - found best price OEM replacements elsewhere), so I re-ordered and installed another pair. At this point, the OEM Brass burners are selling for over 10 times as much as these replacements. The math is better than ever for going with the aftermarket burners.

After that many years, I was pleased to be able to get a part so important for the good functioning of the grill. Super easy to take out and put back in.

Packaging was inadequate and had some holes in it upon delivery. Burners were just stacked loose on top of one another with no cardboard between them. This caused a lot of rubbing that removed the protective paint in areas of contact. They’re cast iron, so nothing was broken on the burners themselves. One of the shutters was bent and mounting screw for it was gone. Fortunately they didn’t fall out of the holes in the box as they were just loose inside. I was able to get the shutter straightened and mounted with a screw from my “collection”. They fit pretty well in my old Lynx grill and the heat output is quite good. Overall, good purchase for the money, but a piece of cardboard between them and little tape around them to hold them together would go a long ways to prevent damage. Product seems good so far. They look to be pretty well made, but the packaging was inadequate. Long term value remains to be seen.
