Good woofers.
These are good woofer replacements for doors. Be sure to get low pass crossovers. They take a week to break in. First day not much bass. Second week these kick in. Lots of strong bass. Also, be sure they are sealed around surface mounting area.

Earthquake Sound SWS-6.5X
Best of quality. Great bass. Easy installation (they fit even in tiny spaces) .Very good price. I have replaced the factory 6.5 subwoofers in an W208 CLK Mercedes. They indeed made a big difference in acoustics.

Short life!
Bought speakers in the end of February and one of them start shorting out and now won't work. Would realy like a replacement set. Only had used them a couple of times. Just a bad product. Lets see how their customer service is And I will update from there!

These things rock for 6 1/2" woofers!
I installed these in the back doors of my Tundra as there was no place to put a box. Amazing sound for just 6 1/2" drivers. They go deeper and produce more bass than I expected. They do want baffles behind them.

Decent unit for the money for shallow mount applications
This is a decent sounding SHALLOW mount woofer. That being said, all shallow mount subs seem to be generally lacking in performance compared to conventional drivers. I have compared many subs, and in my opinion you're better off using a high quality driver that's smaller to fit your space, rather than a larger shallow mount unit. I've compared the JL Audio 13TW5 woofer @ $500, with the JL Audio 8W3v3 @ $150, and found a negligable sound difference between the 2. If you absolutely dont have the depth, then use a shallow mount, otherwise use a smaller conventional driver. Your ears and wallet will thank you.

Great sound for their size
This is my second set. I sent to much power in the first set and have since changed the amp theyโre on. I was running 150 to each and honestly they didnโt handle that for too long. Iโve since switched over to my 55 w a channel and itโs perfect for my jeep. Iโm not wanting people to hear me coming from blocks away. These fill the mid bass area quite well. Impressive sound with just 55 watts running them. Def recommend them just watch how much power you run to them.

Quality subs but are boomy
They add bass but it's boomy. We made small sealed boxes stuffed with poly fill. They are under the front seats in our 2016 JK Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. They are both powered by (1) Pioneer GM-D8601. They do add missing bass but they have a very boomy bass response. Modeling them in a free program called Winisd, in their ideal sealed box volume, they have a 3db peak between 50 and 60 hz. No matter how I alter the box volume in the program there is no way to get rid of this peak. Using a better double din car stereo like the Kenwood DDX774BH you can reduce some of the excessive boom-iness using the equalizer. Our not ideal small boxes have about a 5db peak which makes everything sound excessively boomy. We just moved our DDX774BH to our daily driver and put the DDX272 back in the Jeep. The Kenwood DDX272 lacks the better equalizer so we had to turn the subwoofer way down to alleviate the boom-iness. We have had them in the Jeep for about a year and they are still going strong. Pros: +Affordable +They add more bass than any normal car speaker can +Play plenty loud with clean power Cons: -Boomy

use the aluminum extension rings, much more stable!! <30 on here
I have run these on my Harley for over a yearโฆthey are great! key takeaways; buy the metal spacers, much more stable; check your gains at 50hz, 20v max, these are 100w RMS speakers; set your LPF and HPF slopes correctly! These are NOT 1000w subs!!! They will fill in that bottom end that most speakers canโt in small spaces, the laws of physics apply, these get you close to violating them!! I cross them at 50hz 18dB slope, and 400hz with a 24 dB slope, keeps them in the happy zone, powered by a FLX-1000. Price to performance cannot be beat!!!

Incredible sound and a super smooth bass line Coming from a 6.9 subwoofer. Very impressive Thanks

Bought 2 pairs and each pair had one with a defective voice coil which rubbed internally creating an undesirable rattling sound. One of them even had a dent in the aluminium frame. On the upside, if you're lucky enough to get 2 good ones, they'll sound amazing!
